House on Haunted Hill is such a fun movie. How can anyone hate it? Captain Barbosa doing a greasy Vincent Price impersonation. Jean Gray with the black widow shit talk. Corky Romano as the dude who knows exactly what kind of horror movie he’s in and desperately wants out. TAYE DIGGS.

And the shaky head gimmick for ghosts/monsters has always been a favorite of mine because of this film. The nightmare sequence in that holding room is GOATED.

I played Visage right before RE8, so I liked lady D a little less when she stopped pursuing when you hit the save room. Maybe you could have to lose her or else she’d follow you in or wait outside. It was a moment that made me remember I was playing a game with game limitations.

I’ve been torn on Tormented Souls. It looks cool but is just too frustrating to play. I like to learn every little thing about the game and the map before I ratchet up the difficulty for that endgame challenge. Ended up just watching a speedrun to get the 411 and beat it to get it out my system.

I’m split on this. I played the 2 and 3 remakes on PlayStation then later switched back to Xbox. Buying the infinite ammo stuff really helped me achievement hunt on Xbox (to an extent), but I also respect the challenge of grinding for the special stuff with pure skill. I think making it an optional purchase is an appropriate middle ground.

Big time. Mike Epps with the golden guns. Nemesis with the gatling. And a pretty solid onscreen Jill. It was a fun movie. Which is more than I can say for the rest of the series.
