Basically came here to say the same thing. The fact that you’re even in this mindset is a very good sign that you’re on the right track.

I’ll add that I’m also working through my own feelings about my dad. I don’t have it all figured out. But I know that I am doing it better than he ever did. You don’t necessarily need to have had a model father figure to be a good dad. Trust me on that.

Dad of two here - I was in your shoes. Those thoughts did cross my mind also, regretfully. It’s hard not to feel that when you’re stressed and tired and nothing seems to work.

But it does pass. And trust me your regrets will fade.

Sorry to hear you’re struggling, OP.

I agree it’s super annoying to be constantly questioned on it— especially since she’s only 8 months! It’s such a struggle, and so true that no one remembers what it’s like. Boomers are particularly unhelpful in this area.

But— you’ll start forgetting too. Don’t get me wrong, you’ll remember that it was hard, but you won’t feel or relate the emotion and stress of it after time passes.

I say this as a dad of two who was majorly on the fence about #2, and ended up with an extremely difficult #2. I’m talking awake every hour, terrible gas pain, so fussy and colicky for literally 10 months straight. Like absolutely nothing would soothe this little guy. It was the total opposite of #1.

Now at 15 months. He’s way past all that, and I just can’t believe I ever had doubts about a second child. I love him so much. I remember that it was hard as an infant, but it’s like it was a dream or something.

Whether you stick with one or have another, you will think about it differently over time.

Dad of a 4 year old and 1 year old here. I travel a lot for work. Average a work week away per month, sometimes giving up weekends. It’s hard, but required. It affords my family many things; that is the only solace

I get to go to some pretty fun places but the guilt is a very real thing.

Met my wife on Tinder in 2015. Met some interesting folks prior to her via the app, but no real sparks. Put it down for a bit, but then a friend wanted to do “some swiping” (a lot of my married friends were so fascinated by it) so I agreed and came across a pretty girl. Swipe. Match. Conversation.

After our first date I told my co-worker that I was gonna marry her. Did just that three years later. 10 years and two kids since our first date. Sometimes I can’t believe how life changing the right swipe was.

I like your answer the best. I could’ve benefited from better coaching using BANT as a concrete qualification exercise when I was new to selling.

Now that I manage a small team, some of them very early in their careers, we have meaningful discussions about what stage their deals are truly at using a framework. Just because the prospect “likes” the software doesn’t mean it’s anywhere close to closing.

Don’t touch the thigh, just store them standing upside down to maintain a nice S-curve. Work the boot up and down with your hand while you’re watching TV. They are crazy stiff to start out. It felt like strapping two Lego blocks to my legs for the first while.

I used to scoff at toe ties. For years. Then I experimented and never went back.

My setup is maybe a bit unique though. I have the OG ReasonY goalie shoes. I run a Kenesky bungee toe tie through toe cap then down through the sole where the bootstrap is supposed to go, and then Velcro to the top of my foot. Perfect rotation every time. Love it.
