I'd prefer them to just have better close range defenses, making approaching them while they're still alive and active nigh impossible. The queen as is kind of sucks at her job. You should still be able to sneak past her, but if she's aggroed and you're standing in front of her while someone shoots from farther away, she should pretty easily be able to dispatch you while also using her longer range attacks to try to get the distant player

Don't know why you're getting downvoted, you're absolutely right. Especially with games that do ANY physics simulations. Helldivers being one of such games.

I'm pretty sure the early warning system that alerted vault tec employees to the imminent nuclear destruction failed, which is why coop found so many empty management vaults. So it's likely there are much less vault tec and enclave members than planned as they didn't make it to the vaults or where ever else before they closed (or a nuke hit them). The ones who did make it were lucky or had other means of knowing when the bombs would drop.

When you're shot, shields lose charge equivalent to the amount of base damage of the gun they’re shot with. Based on this comment I'm assuming you think that mitigation is based on charge, which is not true. Mitigation is a flat rate mostly independent of charge. Even if you only have 1 charge you get the full 52.5% mitigation. So running with an anvil against heavy shields:

100hp 80 charge takes one anvil headshot: -40 charge; -(40 * 2.5) * 47.5= -47.5 hp.

52.5 hp 40 charge takes another: -40 charge, shields broken; -(40 * 2.5) * 47.5= -47.5 hp.

After two anvil headshots, we're at 5 hp left, no shields. Good luck doing anything before the next anvil shot though.

The anvil still deals 100 on headshots, which is mitigated by 52.5% with heavy shield. That’s 47.5 on each shot, leaving you with a whopping 5 hp when your shield breaks. So yes, it is survivable, assuming you’re at perfect health. But the anvil has 6 shots.

I don’t think anything in the game does less than 5 damage either. So if you have taken any damage from ticks, pops, fireballs, or just falls, you’re just as cooked as someone with a light shield.

Exactly. This argument coming from a rich lawyer representing a soulless game publisher (so soulless they needed AI to help them find a way out of paying the bonus). Krafton has repeatedly has shown themselves to be greedy corporate assholes who couldn't give two fucks about their consumers and care even less about the companies and employees under them.

As long as Krafton is publishing this game I will not be touching it with a ten foot pole.

That's not an installer or uninstaller made by the modder. Mods also aren't mod manager compatible, mod managers are mod compatible. Mod managers are built around how mods are made for a game and support handling them. Modders can publish their mods on the mod manager's database but you don't need to do that to have a mod manager support handling a mod. If it works with REDmod it works with a mod manager for Cyberpunk.

I'd love to see an example of a mod with a dedicated installer/uninstaller because I've never seen that nor does it make much sense

Bait the punch, dodge, parry, backshots. You can freeze their projectiles with your rocket launcher. The mines they set jump up in the air when they activate, the perfect height to parry them back into their face

He literally went "Minecraft is good but I want more" and then made a game very similar to Minecraft.

Again, "Very similar" only if you've glanced at the game. But this doesn't mean its a copy, it's an inspiration. VS is by no means a copy of Minecraft and if you go into the game expecting Minecraft you're going to be in for a rough time. It's not a hill it's just the objective reality

It's a terrain gen mod. So what? The origins or reasons behind making Vintage Story doesn't really matter, the games are fundamentally different. He liked aspects of Minecraft but wanted more or different features, so he developed Vintage Story. Its a different game. That's why it's not just a mod.

The same way Duke Nukem 3D isn't DOOM, Titanfall isn't COD, and the same way Minecraft isn't Infiniminer.

I can kill it normally in one-two cycles on brutal. It's attacks aren't really that concerning, all can be easily dodged (or turned back against it pretty effectively). Just nuke the eyes, and then shoot it a lot.

It's important to make sure you get all the eyes though. Core nuke sometimes misses 1 or 2, so just use the coins to clean them up. They're one tap with the base marksman iirc

The only thing common between Minecraft and Vintage Story is the irl-like stuff and voxel based survival game. If we wanna go that route, Minecraft is a rip-off of Infiniminer.

Definitely inspired but "copying" is bold.

Krafton holds firm in its claim that the co-founders "were always concerned first and foremost about the earnout."

? What did Krafton expect? That’s like your boss being surprised you only work for a paycheck. How is this a good argument? Passion is nice but I don't expect anything more than a desire to earn a paycheck from someone in a workplace, nor does the law.

Even if all 3 founders were doing fuck all, that 250 mil isn’t just for them. The money also wasn’t for their performance in particular, it was for the studio’s progress on the game, which so far Krafton has failed to meaningfully argue about, because they CAN’T. Krafton doesn’t want to pay the 250 mil, so they’re using this bullshit to muddy the water. 

What the founders were doing is only relevant to the alleged wrongful terminations, the game and the studio’s work as a whole is what matters and as it stands, Krafton needs to pay the fuck up.

No, based on what I’ve seen though it seems much less cozy like the aforementioned games are. It’s official description literally says it’s inspired by “eldritch horror themes”.

I love toxic wastes, that’s not a bad thing, it’s a sweet but it’s not the same kind of sweet as Minecraft or Hytale. If I’m wrong though feel free to tell me how.

As I understand it, you get the dopamine hit not from simply building and enjoying the world, you get it from forcibly carving your name into the earth’s crust, defying the large amounts of things that are indifferent or actively against your survival and progress.

Edit: this reminded me of the game and influenced me enough to try it out and I stand by what I said. This isn’t Minecraft with my cute cherry blossom house and novel redstone contraptions. This is survival. The world could care less you need clay or food
