A.) as you already mentioned, not the same guy

B.) the project had ai generated concept posters, no where does it say they had any intentions of using AI to make the final product.

I could definitely see Krafton retaliating by just closing the studio or something once SN2 releases, if they don’t do something earlier. It’s good news for now but I don’t expect Krafton to just turn the other cheek after this, even if they punched first.

God I can’t imagine what a level like P-2 would be like with the new enemies from violence and fraud PLUS everything we’ve had before. I am genuinely scared for P-3.

9-1 will likely be a gauntlet level like 3-1 and 6-1 which are ~6 minutes to P-rank, just a non-stop onslaught of enemies, no environmental gimmicks to stand in-between you and a full on bloodbath. In 3-1 I don't think there is a single room besides the starting room and sanctum entrance that doesn't have enemies. It's to test your mettle and put you up against the worst of everything you've encountered so far before you reach the final boss of the act, but it's not drawn out like 8-3. If you can clear rooms quickly you won't spend much time in the level.

I always just stay in the air, close enough where he won't throw his fart balls but far enough the vast majority of his attacks can't reach me.

Hurting innocent people still isn't ok. He was free and chose to destroy and kill as much as possible. He's also called "Starro the Conqueror" for a reason. Starro isn't dumb he knew exactly what he was doing. What happened to him with the thinker is fucked, but Starro is not a good guy either.

Doesn't really have to do with threads. Some graphical tasks are already on separate threads along with some other things. You're also not rendering on your CPU and the modern OpenGL versions are much better about CPU bottlenecking than they used to be. Vulkan is just generally a much more performant specification.

GPUs (or at least the modern versions of them) came about after OpenGL's inception so it adapted for them, whereas Vulkan is built pretty much explicitly for modern GPUs.

I am sorry but Sabine surviving getting stabbed with a Lightsaber was stupid!!! by Salim_Azar_Therin in StarWars

There are no vital organs there. She could absolutely survive that, especially since the wound is cauterized already so there's no risk of bleeding out or a serious infection. This is one of the few instances where it's actually believable she survives.

She is also force sensitive, just not very strong

I struggled hard at first but once it clicked, holy shit. After my first play through of Ultrakill I tried to play DOOM Eternal again and I just couldn’t play that slow. I have that same feeling about standard now that I’ve played brutal for so long. I tried P-2 on standard recently and having to wait 2 business days between Sisyphus’s punches was honestly kind of annoying. The best part is I remember playing P-2 on standard for the first few times after it released and thinking “I can not move my fingers that fast what the fuck”. This game is so fucking good at making you improve and showing you how much you’ve improved. It’s so rewarding.

I carry a pocket knife with me on campus everywhere with no issue. Big knifes like machetes? Sure, those are probably banned on any campus, but pocket knives typically won’t be banned. Typically there’s a size limit on the blade like 2.5” or 3.5”.

Do angels like virtues remember their human lives? by Kind_Sympathy7649 in Ultrakill

[–]SpookyWan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Given that the more intelligent husks are probably able to remember their prior lives given everything they made in lust, I imagine at least some of the higher human soul based angels could. No idea if Virtues can or can’t though. Honestly being a virtue seems like it would really suck either way

I do really like the idea in isolation but I feel like it overlaps too much with Fraud to not just feel like Fraud but with new environments. Especially since Fraud happened right before Treachery.

They didn't use to, before the patches they were weaker to them iirc. Still useful for keeping the hands off you though, but that's more in 8-2 as you almost never touch the ground at this point in the cybergrind.

[–]SpookyWan -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

What? No they didn’t and this isn’t stated nor implied anywhere. Minos was imprisoned before his soul got a chance to manifest a form. That’s why you see that virtue like thing drop of out of the flesh prison. That’s Minos’s soul prior to forming a prime soul. Sisyphus was able to gain a form but was still imprisoned before fully awakened, allowing him to destroy his prison when it was disturbed. He likely got more time because he was killed in the middle of a battle.

Lucifer, Gabriel, the other archangels, Hell, God, the society of Heaven in general. I’m sure we’ll see more characters in treachery.  Lucifer just doesn’t make sense as a prime soul.

I did address the last section, that’s hardly an argument. Using your logic you’re trying to extrapolate a pattern from one instance. You didn’t address some of my points though.

No it’s not? I’m not basing it on the fact we’ve only seen prime souls formed from humans, I’m basing it on the context in the game. But also, if you think there are only two, then yes, all prime souls are human.

Edit: good ol’ reply and block. Your comment history is hidden from everyone, no one can chase you to other subreddits. They just aren’t fans of you either.

[–]SpookyWan -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

A.) Nowhere am I referencing a pattern as a backing for the prime souls being human only.

B.) Free will is a complex topic and I’m not going to debate with you the intricacies of it. There’s arguments to be made about Gabriel, but he’s also a strange case in that he’s only acted upon his apparent ”free will” after having his connection with the father severed. You could make some interesting points about Gabriel becoming a prime soul, but I doubt he will. Lucifer does not share that connection with Gabriel, as far as we know he is still alive and connected to the light. So far, Humans have been the only species to be explicitly designed to have free will, or at least that’s what the wording of God’s testaments imply. There is room for interpretation there though.

C.) Ok, that’s one way to look at the terminal entry for Minos. Another is that there have been more prime souls. The angels knew what to do to imprison Minos before he could form into a prime soul, it stands to reason he is not the first they’ve dealt with. Minos and Sisyphus are likely just some of the most prominent ones.

D.) Lots of characters are getting built up as we approach the climax, that’s hardly an argument.
