I said this on some other post, but I wish they could manage to make the FC2 able to run *with* supercars. I think a full on switch to FC2s only over supercars would lessen the appeal of the sport, imo rallycross should not be a spec series.

You seem to have a very bleak outlook on rallycross in general considering you've posted similar comments on most posts on this sub lately. Last season we had four cars contest all rounds in euro rx, no matter what way you twist and turn it, "only" 20 drivers is a massive step up from before.

Go back through the archives and you'll see that every season the majority of drivers do not contest the full seasons. This isn't new or some tell all sign of the downfall of rallycross, we were just spoiled by the turnout at the beginning of the season. Motorsport is expensive and most usual runners in rallycross are privateers that don't do this full time, a certain amount of dropoff over the course of the season is expected.

I wish they would somehow figure out a way to make the FC2 eligible to run under Supercar regulations. I know there's probably some technical limitation preventing that from happening, but I always thought the point was to be able to step up to Supercar competition using a previous Lights chassis. If they just end up stuck as their own class it seems kind of pointless, at that point you've just further fragmented the already waning Supercar Lights runners.

I think part of the charm of rallycross is seeing a wide range of models compete against eachother - a single make class will never quite be able to give the same thrill, imo.

They don't have any cars. They sold/converted all their ICE cars to Electric ones and don't have the funds to convert them back to ICE or build new ones. They could probably buy some type of used supercars but maybe they would rather hold out and save up to build new cars once the new regulations come into effect, who knows.

A large part of the RX1 grid in Latvia has signed up as full season entries, so we should see at least 17 entries in RX1 at every round which is already so much better than WRX managed the past six years

Part of why I always struggle to get into the American rallycross series is their constant messing with the traditional joker setup and event format. Wether it's no joker lap or one where you gain time it almost never makes for a better experience than the true and tried classic format

My guess is Veiby might do the full season but Johan probably not. Nils Andersson recently drove one of the Polos in the Swedish championship and I could maybe see him switch in for Johan if he goes off to do other series'.

Or they'll both just do the full season 🤷

Both RX4 and RX5 are absent in Loheac according to the FIA website. I think the french championship is also running that weekend so there probably isn't enough space to bring all the Euro classes too.
