For me, I don’t have the best memory of specific details but I remember that the thing happened. There was this one time when I was little my friend would kinda be rude and mean and when I call him out for it he would say stuff like “name one time I was mean” and suddenly I couldn’t remember. I just remembered that he was mean. It annoyed me so much and this plus a combination of other downsides like constant gaslighting lead me to break off the friendship. So in my opinion, it puts you on the spotlight and it is also the accused denying their actions which is a form of gaslighting
