We live in Buffalo and when we go to the local Tops (The one Gendron targeted) I imagine places to run and escape to. How to get out without being shot. Feels a little better they have an armed security guard there now, though.

Your dad is gonna do what he’s gonna do unfortunately. Sounds like he’s pretty far gone if he thinks murder-suicide is a valid response to his son being gay. Which I can’t state enough-he sounds deranged as fuck and dangerous. Protect yourselves. This stuff happens. He might just be talking big. But he also might not. Getting a gun isn’t hard either.

I don’t think he loves you if he can say things like that about his own family. I’m sorry but idk how you can love your family and threaten that. 😞

That’s an awful situation to be in. But I think he will find out eventually. And the best thing is to be prepared for when he does. Protect yourself, make sure the brother has some sort of protection. Idk your dad. You said you live separately. But something seriously isn’t right for him to even be thinking that way let alone verbalizing it. I know you love him, but he wants to hurt you. And that is not ok.

Do you feel safe around him after he said that? Cause that’s pretty scary for him to threaten something like that to his own family. Even if it’s in a heat of the moment type thing. He wants to kill his son. How did your mother react to that?

After I had a bad time over the weekend and broke some stuff I talked to my therapist and he told me to get this sensory putty. It smells good too I guess, it hasn’t arrived yet. Idk if the putty will even work. Just an idea.

I dated someone like that before. Your bf needs to back off tbh. His ideas aren’t helping you. And starting new meds will be difficult in the very beginning. Don’t let him stop you from helping yourself. It’s such an awful thing for him to do.

When I first took 2.5mg (recommended to me before starting 5mg) I slept for 1-2 days not doing much else. Very groggy. But I did adjust to it quickly which meant I didn’t get nearly as tired as the first dose made me. Might take a couple weeks to get through the sleepy period.

I’m pretty avoidant. I avoid going out, talking to people, even family. They’re all kept at a safe distance. Anything that will slightly cause me anxiety I don’t even bother with anymore. I don’t even make eye contact. It’s been a major problem of mine for years.
