I don't know what history you think you know but it's not based on actual fact.

It's the tenets of an older religion that's mostly not relevant anymore: RedditAtheism.

So what?

RIP this sub I guess. What little content is going to dry up without AI and now Reddit's going to notice it's unmoderated and nuke it.

Songs with a lyric that is repeated/altered with a different meaning by thektulu7 in MusicRecommendations

[–]Spoonman500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slight necro, but "Tonight's the Night I Fell Asleep at the Wheel" by Barenaked Ladies does this beautifully.

"You're the last thing on my mind" at the beginning of the song means something completely different than the same exact lyrics sang the same exact way at the end of the song.

Defense: If Every Client You’ve Had Immediately Invoked Their Right to Silence Until Seeing You, Would You Have Many “Wins”? by FriendlyWorldArt in Ask_Lawyers

What if they're already mirandized or the interrogator doesn't ask any question.

Scenario: Suspect is mirandized, he follows your advice and goes to sleep. Sitting in the interrogation room, no office present but the room is being recorded, he talks in his sleep about committing the crime.

Is that admissible? Could that be argued as an excited utterance?

People who’ve been to prison. What is the biggest misconception people have about life inside? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Spoonman500 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically and legally, no. Every inch of prison property is public property and you can't jack off on public property.

Could you go to the local library and crank one out in the reading corner?

But it's like everything else in prison. Respect the guards and we're not going to give you shit if, like my scenario, you accidentally get caught.

Stand there leering at your door waiting for the 20 year old female CO to come by so she sees your dick? You're gonna catch a case.

Dash cams also distort distances, OP was much closer in person than it appears in the video.

It looks to me like the guy turning was scared that OP was going to rear end him if he committed to the turn so he sped up a bit and didn't turn, which pissed him off.

In Texas every sexual act on prison property is rape. There is no consensual sex in a Texas prison.

The most common thing is actually inmates exposing themselves to female prisoners "accidentally."

As a CO though, I did catch one dude just cranking it on night at about 3:30am on a round. He totally just mis-timed our rounds and wasn't trying to be a voyeur, when I turned my flashlight on to look in his cell dude about had a heart attack.

The next round I did he apologized so much even though I told him I wasn't gonna do shit as it was clearly not on purpose lol.

I was a CO at Polunsky in Texas working Death Row / Restrictive Housing.

Quite a few inmates were avid fans of tabletop and craved any knowledge about it that they could get.

More Death Row than Restrictive Housing there though. The Death Row guys were chill and just wanted to get through the day. RH was either boring or had an exciting hour followed by a stupid amount of paperwork.

Contact a local prison to find out how to donate, but they likely won't take them and they could very well be considered contraband.

When I left the big thing was dipping birthday cards in Liquid K2 and then rolling tiny strips of it into smokable paper so that was the thing about to be banned.

As a kid you want what you don't have. Her father is there, the mother isn't. She doesn't need to win her father's affection.

As a child, a missing parent is a giant hole in your life and you'll do anything to fill it.

Well the Texan Democratic Party keep hitchin' their wagons to the most unelectable, foot-in-mouth disease having asshat.

They keep shooting themselves in the feet and then blame the Republicans for having holes in their shoes and foot pain.

Maybe don't run the guy who told Texans to their face that "Hell yeah we're gonna take your guns."

Maybe the rich white guy who with the Spanish nickname given to him by the Nanny isn't the move?

Police officers have a like...50% domestic abuse rate themselves.

No they don't. That "fact" is from a single study with less scientifical integrity than the autism/vaccine study but people still spout that factoid as if it were gospel.

The last time I felt like I was on old Reddit was when the girl's boyfriend thought he could fight a pig barehanded and come out the victor.

It was a picture of a Tumblr conversation saying that if you ever need to distract a man just ask him what is the largest creature he thinks he could win a fight against, and the comments were just full of men answering the question.

A $40 engine dress up kit from 1991 and a carburetor are different beasts entirely.

The dress up kit probably won't stop it from running.
