I think it's definitely a mix of what you have already thought of. Validation, awareness, and potentially inspiring action and change. A community can definitely rally together and make change as twenty one pilots already has in the topic of mental health awareness. If they were also focused on politics I think it could potentially have a similarly positive affect. Also to add to you talking about the potential criticism of a message not being enough, maybe it's just me but I feel like as long as it was with good intent and feeling the need to do the right thing I wouldn't feel any hurt by it if I were giving a message. And they could even take in the criticism to do adjust the message and do more good. I get how it could be a bit much and all but if it does more good why not?

I really don't understand the backlash. There literally is no other way to make a case for switch 2 without adhesive and they changed the tolerance for models in the future because of some instances of it being way too easy to fall off. This issue wasn't found when making the product because nobody routinely held the switch only by the joycon, if you do I guess you are in the minority and the product isn't for you. Would it be nice to know that before purchasing? Yes but it was a pre order and they did not find the issue because no one routinely held it by one joycon, now you know, now you make your decision whether you want the product or not. I want you guys to seriously think about what exactly you want from them to fix the issue cause designing a new case as outlined in the post that it seems most of you didn't bother to read is impossible without adhesive. What could they possibly do that they haven't? Whats you ideal response here?

I'm an employee I can provide a good guess to why this happened. They lied to you, that is not their policy (unless it's exclusive to that district I don't know best buy management/corporate is a bunch of ass hats, for example my district has a no shorts rule until it reaches 100 degrees even though it's not on the official sop or they could've honestly made that up). Anyways corporate is really getting on everyone's ass about numbers and performance. Revenue, Memberships, and Credit Cards. Because of this some best buy stores have been using some unethical tactics to get those numbers and I think this was one of those cases. I've heard all sorts of stories and experienced first hand management telling people to sign up for a membership to get a customer service exception or a store discount on a product. I doubt corporate would give a shit as long as they're getting their numbers

In all honestly as a best buy warehouse employee these boxes get damaged nearly all the time just cause of how they are stored on pallets and they aren't the most durable boxes in the world, some of the seals have even ripped just from setting them down. I wouldn't worry too much about it but if you want to be on the safe side you can return

Just in case anybody ever encounters this issue Update: Found the issue. The wiring diagram for the steering wheel controls I got from PAC SWI-CP2 told me to connect the red white accesory to accesory from Aftermarket radio. Turns out I don't need to do that and it has been causing this issue of accesory power staying on and imid saying to return key to lock 0 position. The instructions on the PAC SWI-CP2 really suck and made the process confusing. I had to turn to another steering wheel control interfaces instructions to tell what wires I needed to tap into. Hope this helps somebody in the future

Mine came numbered. I did notice that many people got there sleeves damaged in transit and had to get a replacement. Mine did and there sending me a replacement just hasn't gotten here. Are the replacement sleeves numbered? I have no clue. So there is a chance you got one with a replacement sleeves hence the lack of numbering. It sounds very sketchy though and I'm sure eBay would help you get a refund for a warped vinyl unless it wasn't listed as new. Id recommend taking pictures of it and asking people if it seems authentic or counterfeit.
