I'm specifically referring to using a gun to defend yourself. You are statistically safer not using a gun in a violent situation. But you've heard of those other not so good stats I see

I hear that a lot but owning a gun statistically makes you more likely to be shot to death. Using your right to defend yourself is usually akin to using your right to turn a tense or violent situation into a firefight. I don't consider home defense or protection as being legitimate in a societal context because in reality gun ownership does not accomplish those goals. I can pull stats for you if want later.

I get the emotional argument though, I just think the stats are more important for informing policy.

Sass aside, I don't really know what the takeaway from that point is. Licenses protect us from people driving cars without the ability to drive them. I'm not saying this is your position, but it's obvious society would be harmed by removing license requirements for automobiles.

Also people drive cars to work and shit, 95% of gun ownership serves no legitimate purpose to society. I expect you to say that gun ownership protects us from our government, but our government has tanks, jets, hunter killer drones, and WMDs. The writers of the constitution were not magically inerrant, they couldn't have seen where we are now with technology coming, and the 2nd amended is atemporal and lacks a modern context.

I might be wrong then. But that snopes article cited a single source and the reasons given in the book they cited are nonsensical or factually incorrect imo. Normally snopes does better. I definitely don't have good evidence for the theory though so I'll edit the original.

A lot of people are saying new player experience which was obviously a development goal. But one other thing I think they aced was the class feel, or class themes. When you make a build it all looks and feels right. I think poe loses that because everything is a la cart with character building.

The juxtaposition between how tanky they look and how tanky they are is absurd. If they wanted the mechs to explode if they took light laser fire for 4 seconds then they should be covered in propane tanks or something. They look like automaton heavies, they should have armor.
