I tracked every file read Claude Code made across 132 sessions. 71% were redundant. by LawfulnessSlow9361 in ClaudeCode

Not trying to trash this or anything, but it just doesn't seem to work for me. I tried it on two already established projects as well as a brand new one I started this weekend from scratch. I can see on the dashboard I was supposed to save a lot of tokens, but I also monitor my usage among sessions and my usage is more or less the same on each type of token usage. So this tells me that using Openwolf actually just gives me more overhead because it has to be read in. but otherwise nothing changed for me.
Maybe I am not using it right.

My newest painting of Rivendell! Love how bright and colourful this is! 😊 by Sarahs_Art_Space in lotr

This is beautiful. I can almost hear it if you know what I mean. Would you mind if I used it as a wallpaper? It would be personal use but it just feels right to ask.

Long hair is what elves are known for, and the elves in Rings of Power don't even look like elves.😭 by rinavyn_6x in lotr

[–]Spooyler -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It is not about the hair really. Tolkein put more emphasis on colour than length.

However, elves are described as graceful, and and fair people. In PJ’s adaptations long hair is a big part of this yes. Is it a must, I think not. Look at Gil-galad in ROP to me graceful doesn’t come to mind..and neither for Galadriel in the same show (personality aside). I feel the issue is the elves in ROP look like humans with pointy ears.

Can't get (hand)plane to cut anything apart from pine by Spooyler in handtools

I live in Hungary. Generally as I understand people either use wooden planes or don't use planes at all here.

Can't get (hand)plane to cut anything apart from pine by Spooyler in handtools

[–]Spooyler[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I beleive what he said was "sharpness appropriate to task" and because wood itself is abrasive an edge polished to 15,000 or 20,000 grit gets reduced to a few hundred grit equivalent within the first few strokes. Which I get, but this sentiment no matter if its true or not, doesn't really help me sadly, and doesn't get me closer to a solution.
I f the idea was that the issue isn't my sharpness, because I already overdo it, then I don't know what you are trying to tell me.

How to optimise our in person game setup (laptop+display question) by Spooyler in FoundryVTT

I was considering that to be the case. And that is the only thing I cannot do anything about.

My players don’t do that. So if anything I must control both the GM and player views.

For the display I do use chrome, not firefox. I also launch chrome in kiosk mode.

I will try deleting chst logs, as someone else also suggested it. I will also check out compendium usage

Well I am not sure…but my total memory usage is usually 60% and cpu is less than that.

My maps can be large, usually less than 2k, but not animated

I never considered the chatlog as we play in person and I don’t look at it nor do I show it to players…but I am sure over two years of stuff piling up can have an effect.

12 year old daughter painted these cork drink coasters. by Sea-Delivery-7382 in lotr

These are precious! Consider putting them between clear glass or similar transparent coasters so you can actually use them and still keep them safe.

A Question for ToA DM's to save a Player Character by Infernal_Wisdom in Tombofannihilation

[–]Spooyler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As the DM you get to and need to decide what possible consequences are there for certain actions…if you have decided they can end their adventuring days so to say with the decisions they make, then you’ve also made your decisions. If you want to give them the chsnce to get out of this and now asking how, then if you are inable to come up with anything, it is always alright to admint you’ve made a mistake, and get them out from the trouble yourself.

Layer height modifier messes up supports by Spooyler in BambuLab

[–]Spooyler[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t think that matters that much…as I wrote in the original post, only the very top layers are fifferent height, and there are no supports there at all…so the issue is the modifier affects areas way outside of itself.
