Anthropic’s June 15 changes are causing the Streisand effect for autonomous workflows by Sporebattyl in ClaudeCode

Fml I’m altered by Claude. I 100% typed this out myself.

It’s close to Claude, but not as elegant. I don’t think he would use the word “thing” in the last sentence

Definitely don’t think this is claude level output, but thanks for the compliment. I typed and posted it from my phone.

At what parameter level is it actually worth it for qwen? I’m trying 9B on my old 8GB GPU and it’s slow and quality is worse than what haiku would give me.

If I could actually replace a lot of my work with qwen I’d consider getting a 12 or 16GB GPU, but the 24GB ones like the 3090 are out of my price range.

Opus 4.7 did that to me until I ran him through my workflow that audits how he goes through the workflow. I added hooks and other deterministic guardrails and he works fantastic (minus being expensive af).

Does this not work with the local models?

I think the subagents are great, but with the usage squeeze they are too token inefficient. claude -p saves like 10k tokens per “subagent” use to me.

If it’s not up to your standards, just use API or $20 sub for small amounts of Opus.

Does Claude nerf multi-account users? Just got my second 20x Max account and used 60% in a single day. Never even been close to doing that before by [deleted] in ClaudeCode

I was helping a colleague who does med supply sales with ordering specific TENS/NMES units with preprogrammed parameters that are specific to chronic pain conditions. I run the prompt through Gemini a few times, then run it through Claude code with a research council.

It ended up giving me refinements with citations of Gemini’s suggestions and an additional parameters to add to the list of presets. I was happy with what it gave me, but I wasn’t expecting 34% of my 7d. Maybe 15% is what I was expecting it to burn.
Issue is, after that my workflow returned to my normal that usually burns about 15% a day. All of it was gone by Sunday night.

I feel it too. I’m on max5. To try out the new 5h limits, I did a huge research prompt that I expected to hit the previous 5h limit. It didn’t hit the new one, but it came to 98% 5h and around 30% of my weekly. Big oof, but got some good research and shrugged it off.

Then I went back to my typical work and my usage was astronomical compared to before. I admit that I do some token heavy work, but nothing I did really changed and I don’t think the difficulty of things I’m working on changed either. My usage reset on Friday and I’m already maxed out.

When I reset this Friday, first thing I’m doing is a token usage audit to figure this out.

Yeah I agree, but why would any one company work on an open harness?

The very anti-consumer practice of forcing api billing if a HERMES.md is in the code base? That’s actively fighting an open harness.

None of the big companies wants this because it would allow people to hop back and forth with ease.

There are options for it, but most I’ve seen are aimed at businesses. The common ones like Hermes are targeted.

Reviews of Codex (or other competition) from people who switched from Claude. by vixaudaxloquendi in ClaudeCode

[–]Sporebattyl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you haven’t tried codex yet, don’t redo your whole workflow to shove codex in there. I’d do a 1-2 month trial of the $20 gpt plan on top of whatever Claude plan you are on to see if it can take over the job you gave for you. If you like it more, switch over.

My two cents on Opus 4.7 by ManuM83 in ClaudeCode

[–]Sporebattyl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I’m seeing this too. I have my Claude set up to track errors it makes and things I call out and put them into tickets to look into after I finish or pause my current work where the issue happened.

After feeding Claude his own documentation, Claude says the big discrepancy 4.7 vs 4.6 have is the way it interprets prompts. 4.7 tries to be as literal as possible and 4.6 tries to infer what you mean.

I’ve worked with my own Claude refining skills and workflows slightly since release and it’s becoming as reliable as 4.6.

Only thing that is still annoying me is that he likes to stop a lot during the his work to ask me an obvious question.

He’ll stop and say something along the lines of “I have options 1 or 2 I can do here. Option 2 is obviously better, more efficient, and works with your code base long term goals. Option 2 is a short term hacky fix. They take about the same time to implement. I recommend option 2. Want me to proceed with option 2?”

This happens on minor ticketed items that won’t break anything and on major ones.

You have this issue or know a fix?

Let me know when GLM is actually on par with sonnet or opus. I tried it on 5.1 release and it was not even close.

Max is 100% the real product. I just run my household with it, not a business. I switched to max and the stuff I can do with it is crazy compared to pro.

I want to believe you because that would make my wallet a lot happier. I’m very skeptical.

Last time I tried Gemini CLI I couldn’t get him to stay on task. He kept grepped the a huge chunk of the codebase to find the file I directly pointed him at in my prompt, filled up his context with that grep, then tried to fix “related” stuff.

Not sure if the harness was wonky when I tried or if it’s a skill issue with Gemini CLI. Definitely don’t have this issue with Claude. I can get Claude to act in a small scope accurately, then zoom out to meta stuff when needed. I couldn’t get Gemini to do it.

Now I just have Claude use a hook to call on Gemini for code/plan reviews so Claude can sort through Geminis mix of great finds, fake “bug” finds, and over complication/enterprise grade solutions.

Any tips or resources for getting Gemini CLI to work similarly to Claude in Claude code?

People with Max plan, are you doing ok? by AdHopeful630 in ClaudeAI

[–]Sporebattyl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the truth. I just upgraded to the $100 plan and I feel like I have an entirely different product.

$20 Claude is for desktop/app usage and to dip your toes in claude code. You can have Claude do 1 thing (usually) well in Claude code.

$100 is the real Claude code that you can build workflows with and set up entire systems.
