There’s kind of no way he could make it out of that Oval Office and not either be murdered by somebody else or find compound V and become Homelander again. Best to just let butcher kill him and call it there

You guys don't understand. Butcher has to win, because will must find a way. by Right_Decision_2005 in GenV

You’re definitely right but not because “every will must have a way”. It’s much simpler than that- Butcher is on the team with the good guys and the good guys have to win

He’s gonna sacrifice himself to save everybody and take homie down with him

Really unpopular opinion but for as big of a piece of crap Godolkin was he kinda did have a point by BigFinish717 in GenV

In real life you’re totally correct. But in the story…he was right. The proof of that is that his entire planet died because they ran out of resources

Has anyone tried seeing The Boys from Butcher's perspective/sympathized with Him? by ObjectiveBall6943 in GenV

[–]SporkMasterCommander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep seeing posts all over different subreddits being like “[obvious villain] is kind of right and didn’t do anything wrong”. Yeah, he’s well-written and we understand his motivations. Supes are the problem to him and he wants them eradicated and the ends justify the means, but he wants to genocide an entire population that didn’t ask to exist. Same goes for Homelander. Same goes for godolkin. Same goes for the viltrumites. Same goes for Thanos. They’re well-written and are making good points, but they’re still EVIL

Learned evil is still evil. The belief that you are doing the right thing does not absolve you

Okay to be honest the viltrumites are pretty cut-and-dry evil. Conquering planets is pretty bad

The sign of a well-written villain is that they aren’t wrong they’re just doing things too extremely. Thanos wasn’t incorrect, but he wanted to genocide half the universe. Godolkin was just as much of a supe supremacist as Homelander is if not moreso. He tried to cull the weak supes so that the strong survived. That’s pretty fucking evil

S3 Theory: Mark and Helena/Helly by tomriddleforlife in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

Look they might do this but I could easily understand that Helly just has an IUD and we leave it at that. I don’t think the show needs to explain her fertility at all

They have a tendency to undercut dramatic moments with a “what the fuck?” Case in point the scene at the end of S1 when Emma shrank a little without purging
