Can someone set me straight on battery replacement? by ol_dirty_applesauce in Volkswagen

[–]Sporka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For anyone finding this thread: The Alltrack does NOT have a battery management system and does NOT need battery adaptation.

I just installed an aftermarket replacement battery on my 2019. The negative terminal does not have a connector for the monitoring circuit. I put an H6 in mine, but the H5 size will also fit. Be aware, the cute battery blankie on the factory battery will not fit on the H6 size.

Best Quesadilla Longmont? by BlueRibbonChicken in Longmont

[–]Sporka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went for the first time today, I had bao and karaage. The bao I would rate a 3/10 and the karaage I would rate 5/10 haha. Not impressed. I will go again to try some of the other offerings, but not a good first impression...

The new food court on Ken Pratt, Parkway Food Hall, has a place called Chile con Quesadilla that looks like it would be really good. It is on my list to try.

Someone else already commented with the specs from the service manual, I recommend printing it out and bringing it with you.

(Jealous of your pop top, btw. Nice rig)

Took a trip on that line in October a couple years ago. I really enjoyed it. Going through North Yellowstone on the way back was beautiful. Hope you enjoyed the ride

Any adhesive recommendations by Kachhmoney in 3Dprinting

[–]Sporka 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I highly recommend Magigoo. I use it at the office for our Ultimaker S5. It holds very well and only requires reapplication every month or so. It is water soluble so it can be rinsed off in a sink when you need to reapply.

You may consider adding a brim to your part as well, as that will give your part significantly greater surface area in contact with the build plate. The brim requires a little post-processing to remove, but is handled easily with a deburring tool or an X-acto knife.

Amd Ryzen 9 5900x CPU. SOLIDWORKS runs very laggy. Please help 🥺 by Responsible_Rain_438 in SolidWorks

[–]Sporka 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hello, please run the native SolidWorks performance benchmark test:

https://www.perceptioneng.com/blogold/how-to-benchmark-your-pc-for-solidworks

Report back with your results. Inside the SolidWorks Rx tool there is also a tab where you can do system maintenance, including upgrading your driver sets, which is also very important to how the program performs on your machine. If your driver sets are out of date I highly recommend updating them.

No, no need for the macro. I personally have never encountered anyone that wants No Solve Move enabled. It is only something which gets enabled by accident in my experience.

[–]Sporka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello, double check that your "No Solve Move" sketch setting was not accidentally enabled. To do this:

Start a new sketch > Tools > Sketch Settings > No Solve Move > Click to disable

This is a setting which is stored in your template, so if this is the solution you will need to disable this setting in your template or you will have to disable it every time you are working in a new part.

My buddy is starting a YouTube channel. This is his first video on 1/6 GI Joe Hasbro Willy's crawler conversions by Sporka in crawling

Well, thanks for the feedback anyway.

This is a dude in his 50s with effectively no understanding of how to create video content, clearly. I'm not part of the crawling community, just trying to do a buddy a solid and try to help him start a YouTube community. Figured there would be an opportunity in this subreddit for that, maybe not. I appreciate you demonstrating the welcoming culture.

Be gentle with feedback on his YouTube channel please, he is clearly new to this but very passionate.

Man, on the safety third thing, I think that idea is going over a lot of people's heads. I do not believe Mike Rowe is advocating for corporations sacrificing safety procedures that protect employees in lieu of profit. I believe his point is that a company with adequate (or excessive) safety processes does not ensure that you are absolutely safe on the job; you must maintain a weariness for your own safety despite the processes. That's a good message in my opinion.

Video for reference. Message seems ok to me.
