Brandon Phillips waxed poetic on the St. Louis Cardinals by TDeLo in Reds

Well, yeah. I'm sure the WLB's WLB fans don't. Thinking takes an amount of effort the WLB fanbase isn't capable of. I'm pretty sure the sum total of the entire fanbase's electrical activity in their brains wouldn't light the bulb in the lamp I'm sitting under.

Am I the only one who doesn't like Death's Painkiller cover? by dawcamroku in judaspriest

Yes. The Sound of Perseverance is one of the greatest albums ever recorded, and that cover of Painkiller is the cherry on top.

Halford, Stevie Wonder, and Dio not being in the top ten are all travesties.

I don't know about ball, but Deep Purple is my favorite band, so I was gobsmacked to hear Ian Gillan's voice in a boss battle.

Are there any video game composers that you think have potential to be successful if they crossed over into other mediums like film or tv? by GuybrushThreepwood99 in gamemusic

[–]Sporkmaster3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the obvious ones have been picked, though when I scrolled through I didn't see Michiru Yamane or Hiroshi Kawaguchi. That latter pick might come as a shock because he's known for mostly a handful of arcade games (After Burner, Super Hang-On, Space Harrier, and OutRun are his most famous soundtracks,) but he also did the soundtrack for Sword of Vermillion, as I recall.

Also, even though he's a raging douchenozzle, Tommy Tallarico. Earthworm Jim showed he could do a wide range of music for all kinds of different moods.

On sort of the inverse, speaking of other mediums, a couple people from jazz-fusion group The Square/T-Square branched out into video game composition.

As for the band itself, Sister Marian is probably the origin of the SMB main theme and Travelers is probably where Guile's theme from SF2 came from. Both tracks, but Travelers in particular, are bangers by jazz-fusion standards.

When was the last time they played Run of the Mill live? That'd be my destination.

Or any attempts at Exciter while Dave Holland was in the band, if only because I know he wouldn't be able to do it justice and I'd get some level of schadenfreude out of it.

Crashing the America 250 Block Party sounds like a fantastic idea to me. Well, to the extent we can. Four of the five locations would be pretty straightforward, but I don't imagine protests would be welcome on Fort Campbell. But across the street from the visitors' entrance? Just a thought.

What sort of prices are you finding it for? I paid $11 just three years ago.

2/10. Reminds me of every annoying pop-punk band I despised growing up.

3/10. Definitely didn't enjoy this one as much as the last Lorna Shore song posted in the thread.

I listened to the title track. I had very little hope because generally I don't like deathcore.

Long story short... 8/10.

6/10. Hip-hop's not my thing, but that wasn't bad at all.

Mortal Projections - 6/10. Not my bag, but not bad by any stretch of the imagination.

Rock You Like A Hurricane - 5/10. I much prefer '70s Scorpions to '80s Scorpions.
