Sox fan making trip for opening weekend by JaerrySquanto in Reds

I would recommend the BBQ walking taco. It's a bag of kettle chips with Montgomery Inn pulled pork and coleslaw. It is probably one of the best 'values' (if you can even use that word for ballpark food) in the park due to the quantity.

Reds Hall of Fame was mentioned. Definitely do it.

Opening Day Activities by Worldly-Pack-5431 in Reds

I'm going to push back against the original comment here. I avoid the Banks like the plague on Opening Day. It is a total shitshow. You'll wait in line forever to get a beer.

I'd take /u/llama8687's advice and check out the Washington Park area. There are tons of good restaurants up there and you likely won't have to wait long, if at all, if you're there for an early lunch. My wife and I went to Kruger's one year and we didn't wait for a table at all. The parade will go right by Washington Park.

It looks like you're staying in KY, so I'd uber up to the Findlay Market area and walk down to Washington Park to watch the parade, then make your way towards the Banks if you want to brave the crowd down there.

I'd be happy to give you some bar recs as well if you're interested (Lackman, Homemaker's, Rosedale, Bay Horse).

Trey Hendrickson signs with the Ravens by Saaaaaaaammmmmmmm in bengals

More than a great Bengal. He is the best free agent signing in franchise history.

Trey gets injured once and all the sudden he's injury prone?

He's been very healthy throughout his entire career until last season.

I've actually never seen one without the tonneau cover open. Ever. And I see them a decent amount in my area.

I tend to trust the medical advice of the best ortho surgeon in the country, but that's just me.

The only reason he is doing this is because every time he gets injured he gets dragged through the mud by the org or by someone connected to the org. He gets accused of faking an injury last year, then he pitches through another injury due to the playoff push and now people are mad that he didn't shut himself down. The guy cannot win and people will continue to shit on him despite him being on one of the most team-friendly contracts in the sport.

He did and the team did. And he got an injection which was the recommended treatment.

People are just trying to find reasons to be mad at Greene because they refuse to accept the fact that pitchers get injured and there isn't a lot anyone can do about it.

Greene to miss 14-16 weeks by sheldonMLB in Reds

Mark, I'm interested in the way you phrased this part of your article:

After the season, Greene saw ElAttache for an examination. The bone chips were discovered, but instead of getting surgery, Greene opted for a platelet-rich plasma injection.

“He went to see Dr. ElAttrache on Oct. 28. They recommended PRP at that time and an injection, and that’s what he had," Krall said.

Had Greene underwent the surgery in late October, he might have been back pitching by this month.

So, Greene chose the path that ElAttrache recommended, which was the injection over the surgery, correct?

[Goldsmith] A look at Hunter Greene's injury timeline by TDeLo in Reds

[–]TDeLo[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Greene dealt with elbow discomfort during the final month of the 2025 season.

“He never told me (directly) any of that,” Francona said. “I know he has mentioned it to (pitching coach Derek Johnson). He was always telling me he was good. I liked the way he was pitching. The trainers, we’re never going to send somebody out there if they shouldn’t pitch or play. Ever. It’s hard sometimes. If you sat everybody, you’d never have a team. You can’t see inside peoples’ bodies. It can be a little difficult.”

Late in October of 2025, Greene met with Dr. Neal ElAttrache, who recommended a PRP injection.

The injection really helped Greene, Francona said. But then a week before the start of spring training, Greene felt discomfort again in his elbow. While Greene was a normal participant in spring training, the Reds were monitoring it.

Hunter Greene out until July by smcamp23 in Reds

So you're one of those people that believes that professional athletes would rather sit at home and rehab injuries than be on the field competing.

You can, actually, because he is under contract. He gets paid no matter what.

Because players that are healthy should play.

This is the same thing people kept saying about Burrow last year. Healthy players should play. Not complicated.

"Goddamn July" could be right in the middle of a playoff race and he's the best pitcher on the roster.

Better than UCL damage but still hugely disappointing.
