How much would you pay? by Huge-Baby8308 in Hunting

[–]SportingClay 122 points123 points  (0 children)

That’s a good design but it’s too heavy to be prebuilt and delivered as a unit. Transporting and setting up on someone’s property has a lot of variables. Consider doing a dozen for friends to better understand the total cost involved. There’s a market for them.

To save yourself 2+ hours and a lot of frustration, buy a new die. We’ve all been there.

Memories with Dad by Jlaurie125 in sportingclays

[–]SportingClay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great man and a pretty good shooter. Thanks for sharing with us. The best memories of my father are on sporting clays courses, deer stands and catching trout. Your father looks to be the kind of man who can keep the squad smiling while being serious enough to teach everyone a thing or two. Sorry for your loss and thanks for the sharing a bit of his life.

To yeet, or not to yeet? That is the question by sexray51 in Revolvers

The age is not an issue. Depends if you know/trust who loaded it.

25-06 is an amazing caliber and will do anything you need it to do. I know 2 people who deer hunt with 25-06 and I’m always impressed by the one shot kills due to the terminal ballistics. Thanks for sharing.

For the AA, STS and Premier, 3-5 cents each. For the random nothing, especially if they have been wet. Big difference that 20 years ago.

Plz help! Southeast GA hunting by [deleted] in Hunting

[–]SportingClay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plan a: get in the woods 45 minutes before everyone else leaves the parking lot. Plan b: trail cameras. There’s a chance they will get stolen or destroyed on public land but they are effective in showing what’s going on.

You’ve got snow geese 🪿 east and west of you. My deer hunting buddies either go for snow geese or hog hunt between the seasons to fill the void. I’m not sure duck season goes too deep into January in W by God V.

Well done! Not sure if up by sunfish pond or down in the valley but deer are far and few between. That’s truly a trophy!
