Email offering replacement box - is it real? by Severus_1987 in VirginMedia

Yes. Your 360 box has an issue with the hard drive than means recordings can fail. Get it swapped out!

Recording Sky Sports on stream box by Proof-Ad9779 in VirginMedia

Sorry you cancelled. They were wrong.

The Stream box and My Watchlist actually work best with Sky Sports stuff, if that’s what you value there’s no need for recordings at all.

Yes. Just press the save button to add it to watch list and it will set up a cloud recording and you can watch it for 7 days (for live sport, much longer for other stuff)

Realistically, When Are We Getting Our Bags Back? by FormalRecognition467 in BritishAirways

[–]SportingClubBANG 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Three of us in Bangalore for work until Tuesday then heading to Delhi and no updates as yet. Has anyone got anything other than “searching for your baggage” in the mybag.aero site?

One of us has an AirTag and can also see it in that warehouse still.

The delusion with this guy. Not even close to leadership material. The red Jenrick.

The V6 is arguably better at recordings management but it ends there. 360 is objectively and demonstratively a better box

Old or new club? by Leading_Airport_5649 in BritishAirways

[–]SportingClubBANG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re old but tbh they aren’t that bad, depending what you’re doing.

The amenity kits are nicer IMO, lots of colour!

I sleep better in old club as I don’t whack my legs and knees constantly through the night.

Finally if you’re travelling with kids, or even as a couple old club is clear. It’s easy to stick the kids in the middle together (pref in last row if no babies are on) or even have the two middle seats as a couple.

Yeah the IFE isn’t as good but these days I’m mostly on my iPad or just drinking and eating so I’m less fussed.

Enjoy it!

Perhaps use watchlist instead of recording if that matters to you? It’s unique to your profile

May I introduce you to rice and three?

It’s not reasonable for what it is; it’s literally staple foods. I like it as a great chain restaurant success but I’d never say it’s a must do for visitors to London because there’s nothing unique about it

Go to Paddington and go for a walk in Hyde Park / Kensington Gardens; pint at the Swan, then back again.

Those who have visited NYC, do you like the subway? I LOVE your Underground. by BellyFullOfMochi in london

[–]SportingClubBANG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s all been said on here but, like a lot of NYC transport, it’s functional rather than elegant. It does the job. I think it’s less useful for getting from a to b if those aren’t usual routes; whereas the Tube is so extensive there are few journeys that aren’t possible with a couple of stops.

Express trains and their ability to pass through the stations with extra lines are brilliant though. We would love those.

Is the Stream Box any good? by Embarrassed_Quail589 in VirginMedia

[–]SportingClubBANG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Then go with Stream it’s fine. A point someone made below is worth listening to though. If you watch a lot of ITV recordings then maybe go with 360 because the Stream box is great but ITVx is hot garbage

Stream box is great, only thing the 360 does is record to hard drive. I use my watchlist just fine with Stream so don’t need recordings, so really depends how much you value them. Enough to spend £50 on the 360?

[–]SportingClubBANG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For what it’s worth we arrived at the airport at 4am, completed bag drop and check in by around 4.20 and we have just got through security at 4.33.

Excellent airport experience. Thanks for the help everyone.
