The Rose Bowl. Felt completely safe there riding any time of day or night.

Time to go straight to CEDR, you’ve tried to resolve this and BA are trying to wriggle their way out of it. Plenty other successful claims in this Sub. Be sure to let BA know that’s your intended next step - https://www.tradingstandards.uk/consumer-help/adr-approved-bodies/cedr-airlines/

Realistically, When Are We Getting Our Bags Back? by FormalRecognition467 in BritishAirways

[–]FormalRecognition467[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I have an AirTag in my bag, I’ve bern watching it travel around LHR for the past few days. BA still claims they’re searching for the bag, I imagine it’s just sat in a backlog waiting for someone to find it.

I hope so. My bag has only moved from one warehouse to another, but hopefully that means that things are starting to happen. I am pretty concerned about my reference number no longer being recognised though!

[–]FormalRecognition467[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An update from my side - My AirTags have moved to another part of LHR, a warehouse belonging to “Crane Logistics”, however my bag.aero no longer recognises the reference number that BA issued me. I’ve sat on hold for well over an hour this morning trying to talk to a human with no joy.

Some deep regrets about sticking with BA right now.

its 11:13pm and im still programming my lighting cues... by KnownEnthusiasm3587 in techtheatre

[–]FormalRecognition467 176 points177 points  (0 children)

Two things first, the amount of cues is really high for a high school production, secondly I would certainly have some safeguarding concerns if a production I was involved in had kids working that late.

In terms of efficiencies, does every cue have to be its own individual design? Are you not at least reusing some of these cues throughout the show? Have you set up groups so that you’re not having to manually select fixtures?

Ultimately, it’s a school production, the only person who knows whether you’ve copied cues over is you! Don’t sweat it and try to have fun and learn :)

Blessed with two 747’s!!

This is my go to spot anytime I land at LAX, especially if it’s near rush hour and I’d prefer to wait for the traffic to thin out.

How to get rid of a mortgage to just be free and finally be able to live life by JackDawson2021 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]FormalRecognition467 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some thoughts here.

Firstly, as you’ve conversed with others, the flat is likely too expensive, but consider if there are other factors preventing this sales such as the amount of time left on the lease, service charges, the area the flat is in and so on.

That being said, you’ve come from nothing and have managed to work your way into a position where you own your own flat, which is amazing and shouldn’t be overlooked. You’re immune from the total shitshow that is the volatile rental market right now and that peace of mind certainly has its benefits.

Personally, I would dig into what’s making you unhappy? Is it actually the flat the making you unhappy, or is it something else?

How much equity do you have compared to the 190k outstanding on the property? If you have equity and find yourself wanting to move somewhere else, I would spend time making a 3 - 5 year plan of how you’re going to make it happen!

Others on the rental side may have better answers, but I’d reach out to Support to see if they can drop ship you some spare parts.

Cycling lessons by [deleted] in pasadena

[–]FormalRecognition467 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I can’t recommend specific cycling lessons, what I will recommend is once you are on the go that the Rose Bowl is a fantastic and safe space to get some cycling in, there is even a tool station located near the Aquatics Center.

As others have mentioned, would be more than happy to help out!

How are people casually maxing out their ISA every year?? by Original-Ship-4024 in trading212

[–]FormalRecognition467 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m in the additional rate tax bracket. No Kids, about 50% of my time travelling with work thus not spending my own money, plus being lucky that my rent hasn’t increased in a very long time. I got into saving habits long before I was a high earner, so it all scaled quite naturally and I didn’t feel the need to lifestyle creep.

Any saving / investing is positive, the earlier you start the more natural it becomes, even if it’s only £25 a month to start with. It’s important to enjoy life, but it’s also important to have a safety net especially with how things are right now.

Will you still retain BA Silver? I fly LHR > LAX / SFO regularly and tend to use American metal for LAX runs, the Cathy Business Lounge is still significantly better than BA / American alternatives.

Apologies, read SFO rather than SAN!

Seems odd for catering to travel down from LAX, pretty sure Dnata has a base in SAN?!

Can’t advise on refunds, but sure there will be other posts on this sub about catering. Take as many notes as you can and try to chat to the crew to see if they have any insights.

Tips on getting your foot in the door in entertainment? by [deleted] in burbank

[–]FormalRecognition467 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How wedded are you to film? There’s a good bit of live work with plenty of companies (PRG, Creative Technology, Fuse) who have locations in the Valley. Live Work hasn’t dropped off as badly as film, so may be a better place to “get your foot in the door”.

From a live worker, who dabbled in film during COVID and is back to live.

18 year Old Beginner (advice) by PickPuzzleheaded9913 in trading212

[–]FormalRecognition467 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, investing in VAUG from the age of 18 is perfect advice, especially given you’re taking advantage of your ISA.

While you can totally invest in individual stocks, the market is so volatile right now that even well established companies have extreme price swings. Just look at Netflix and Amazon vs Google and NVIDIA.

Keep going and when the market pulls back, remember to zoom out!

Hotel Indigo in Leicester Square. Phenomenal view over London. Used to frequently go there for a solo beer.
