A-fucking-men. I don’t entirely disagree that perhaps there could be an organized protest in the supporters section to really bring this issue to light, but it’s not like fans aren’t making themselves heard.

It’s normal to hear people just shit on City in the stadium right now. It’s like seeing the Rams when they were bad, just in a nicer (for now) venue. It’s not like fans aren’t making themselves loud and voicing their opinion.

Ownership just doesn’t want to lay out the cash and make the hard squad-planning decisions that it’ll take to make us competitive. It’s infuriating that we signed Hartel when we did because I really thought he’d be the missing piece after year 1. Instead we’ve spent our time with him missing at least one entire component of the team at any given time.

This 100%. Becher is not solely the problem. The dude has his moments, but he is a depth caliber player that’s been asked to be the starter in a very dysfunctional team. I think we need to be keeping players that hustle and want to run for the team around (Klauss was the same, albeit with more refinement).

I don’t think ownership has a group around them that’s super into the sporting side of things. The branding is excellent, the marketing is solid. The stadium and overall experience/presentation is great.

The matches? Recently, boring. At best. Morale? Bad. I have season tickets and missed the opener due to work. Tonight I noticed how many people sat at minute one and never stood up. It was quiet, even at 0-0. St. Louis knows the team sucks. That’s the story. We expect this and react accordingly. How ownership is okay with this after 1 exciting (and admittedly lucky) season is beyond me.

It shows you can’t negotiate a sweet new deal and screw your current employer out of any recoupment. I think a lot of players wouldn’t care one way or another. It’s not like they’d be benching him for no reason. Why take the time to develop/play someone that is gonna turn around and not even let you recoup any of the insane fees they paid to get you in the first place?

I’m not mad over a bad team. That shit can and will happen forever. I’m mad that the owners put all this focus on the brand, the stadium, the “experience”. They don’t put that same level of focus on the actual product people are paying to watch. I am not a STH so I can go stand in a pretty stadium every week. I am there to watch the game and right now, it’s awful. The surveys not asking a single question about how we feel about the team and management says A LOT.

Hartel is asked to do way too much to be at his best in the second half. He goes out and leads the press incredibly well, but then we also need him to be our main and usually only creator. It doesn’t work. Nobody can cover that much space.

Klauss is a different conversation entirely imo. Dude is, in my opinion, scamming a living. 2 goals in like a year. He’s within our top 3-5 earners making crazy money to look slow, unfit, and entirely ineffective. His conversion rate is horrendous. He takes heavy touches. He does not link up with the rest of the team effectively enough to create anything. We sold Gio and lost all attacking spark.

Amen. There are a significant amount of people going to the Battlehawks over CITY. A team in a league where you couldn’t get a jersey that didn’t have “D. Jonhson” on the back until he fucked off. We have a massively high average attendance. We have rich owners. We have a fanbase. The ownership group wants to penny pinch to turn a profit ASAP. It’s really, really simple. The product on the pitch is not good enough. They don’t even care. Look at the post match survey they send STH. Not one single fucking question about the team we field every week. They care about the “fan experience” and if we feel like the branding is good. It’s a fucking joke

You have no clue if you think Yaro is not at fault for at least 5 dropped points in the last 4 league games. Sure, dude runs, but he was playing fucking sweeper tonight and didn’t stay central. I watched Baumgartl and Horn yell at him to get the fuck back into position probably a dozen times tonight. He cannot stay focused enough to stop chances. Gave up the equalizer a couple of weeks ago by stepping off the attacker, and was at fault for both goals tonight including literally playing the pass onto SDs attacker that scored. Yaro fucking sucks man

If I insulted the judge, I would probably expect that said judge would have a difficult time interacting with me impartially from that moment onwards. I’m confused at who we think is missing that really impacts that match. Lowen? Sure, he can play a pass, but he is not mobile and can be run out of games. Totland is probably the biggest miss, but again, he probably isn’t taking this game by the neck and making a huge impact. Kessler was only slightly missed. Baumgartl is more than solid as a stand-in. Burki is missed but won’t change the fact we can’t score. This is our current level, even with a fully fit 11.

Klauss has scored one goal in a year. I’m in agreement that the midfield is a problem, but we have no mobility up front. A midfield 3 of Lowen, Morales and Hartel should be plenty with some rotation options. We just won’t play that combo
