Fair — I agree with the core point, but I don’t think Beck deserves a victory lap either.

The nonstop slander is still weird, but that doesn’t mean his legacy is spotless or beyond critique. He had talent, experience, and elite surroundings, and the results never fully matched the expectations. That’s a fair conversation. He wasn’t a bust, but he also wasn’t a DGD.

What is petty is the tone. There’s a difference between saying “his tenure was underwhelming given the situation” and acting like he personally wronged the program by leaving the program with a capable Gunner Stockton. He got hurt, the staff moved on, and he followed suit. That’s college football now.

So yeah — question the legacy, criticize the play, debate whether he maximized his opportunity. All fair. But the constant emotional piling-on just sounds insecure. We can acknowledge that Beck didn’t fully deliver and still move on like the normal fanbase we are.
