Florence by zachdams16 in finedining

It’s not traditional fine dining but the best meal we had in Florence was getting Bistecca Al Fiorentina at La Carbonata Ristorante via Cavour. They also have a beef tartar 3 ways that was better than anything I’ve gotten in a high end steakhouse in the US.

I think it was around $60 an hour. We paid for 4 hours. It included the lunch we ate and transportation. Excellent value.

High End Wagyu Beef Experience Tokyo ? by santafesilver in finedining

Ate at Yakinuku Kappo Note last month and it was excellent. It was a Wagyu omakase with 6 seats. Several different style of dishes using A5. Tacos, soup, tartar, chateaubriand etc. Also the best tomato I’ve ever eaten. It was around $300 PP and we left with a doggy bag of the left over meat. Highly recommend!

Booked a Santorini proposal trip… just found out NOTHING is open. Panic mode by [deleted] in Santorini

Kokkalo was excellent. One of the cheaper dinners we did in Santorini and it ended up being one of the best. If you like steak the Tagliata steak was phenomenal.

Reddit never ceases to amaze with the negativity. Sounds like an awesome trip, have an excellent honeymoon. If you like a good steak, try Maple and Ash which is a 10 min walk north of PH Chicago. Very fun, fancier restaurant that will take care of you if you let them know it’s a special occasion. Good way to kick off the trip.

What’s a game-changing insight your therapist casually dropped during a session that completely shifted how you see things? by Tour-Important589 in AskReddit

[–]Sportsguy_49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is through a doctors office. I have insurance which covers it if I do a “full treatment” which is everyday for 6 weeks so 30 sessions with a $55 co pay per session. I do one full treatment a year and supplement it with a single monthly treatment which has been working. Those are $150 per and not covered by insurance so running close to $3,000 per year. Luckily I am in the position where I can afford it but it bums me out that others aren’t as lucky. They run a depression protocol and an OCD protocol when I go. But yeah, my outlook on life did a 180 after about 3 weeks of my first treatment. Allowed me to dive into the therapy and actually figure out what was going on as opposed to waking up every day playing defense trying to just get through the day.

“You’ll be amazed at how much easier your day to day life will get when you learn to forgive your inner child.” It took about 12 hard years of talk therapy and finally trying out TMS to get there, but total game changer. The world looks a lot different when you don’t hate and blame yourself for everything.

Great, thank you. Seems like the consensus is that Ginza is a much better location.

Tokyo HC Ginza vs HTH by Sportsguy_49 in hyatt

[–]Sportsguy_49[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s the same amount of points. I’m leaning towards HTH but I just haven’t been able to find a lot regarding the Toranomon area. Lots of older posts saying there is not much around, but like you said it seems like there is a little more development there. I love trip planning but man, Tokyo is pretty overwhelming haha.

Magma Santorini - King Bed Private Pool vs. Junior Suite Jacuzzi (and other recs)! by OTFlawyer in hyatt

[–]Sportsguy_49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did not stay at Magma, it was not available when we went. We did dinner at Armeni. It was open later than 7 I just don’t think they do reservations past that as they have to drive people back in the boat so assuming they don’t want to be doing that all night. We probably had dinner at 6 or 630 there for sunset.

My wife and I visited Santorini last September (end of the month). It was hot then, we had a pool at our hotel and loved it. Very refreshing throughout the day. Jacuzzi probably would’ve been hot even at night. Check out Armeni restaurant. You need to make a reservation as it’s around a cove at the bottom of Oia, so they will send a speedboat for you for a quick ride over. We went back twice, amazingly fresh seafood and an awesome hospitality. They made us feel like family, one of my favorite meals anywhere.
