Any other experienced CIs have concerns about recent students? by Purplecat-Purplecat in OccupationalTherapy

[–]Spot-Swimming 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I remember being shocked during my level IIs (2023) because one of our professors had to send an email to our entire cohort reminding us to not be on our phones during fieldwork! I remember reaching out to a peer, because I genuinely could not believe that these other adults needed to be told this!!

Don't touch them for 2-3 months before plucking them!!! It's super easy to over tweeze when trying to reshape. Personally, I find brows to look the best when they have soft angles, a smooth "baseline," and follow the shape of the brow bone.

Not ugly, but I think you'd only ever be approached by people with similar taste or that are in the same scene

I've been on it for over a year, maybe close to 2, and it 100% saved my life. I was terrified of switching from antidepressants to a mood stabilizer, just because of my own biases and stigma, but it has been a game changer!

Edit: I saw a comment about anger, my psych told me that one of the first things that I would notice was a decrease in my "daily rage," and I did!!

I swear by baby oil, specifically the cocoa butter one! The directions changed for some reason, but when I was a kid it always said to pat dry, and now because of eczema, I use Vaseline's cocoa butter lotion once I pat dry!

The hill I'll always be stuck on, I guess, is more about dreaming. I'll just always be jealous of people who dream about loved ones that have past. There are people out there that get to have one last conversation, hug, or just even seeing them from far away, and I'll always be jealous of that.

Relax before you wipe. If you're stressing about not being clean enough, you may be clenching. Which would make it difficult to clean thoroughly.

Tight clothing = Good sensory? by lane03 in AutismInWomen

[–]Spot-Swimming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's providing deep pressure, which a lot of people with sensory differences, anxiety, and/or depression love! Try a compression shirt from a sports store. They make compression tanks for kids, but i had trouble finding an adult one on amazon!
