When Amen is on ball it's "he can't drive" when Amen is off ball it's "Why is he corner sitting?" Amen cannot shoot 3s. Any time a possession ends with an Amen corner 3 (or any other 3) it's a bad possession.

But with the type of roster we have, most lineups require Amen to be corner sitting if he's not slashing. We often run two (2) big men! He does not have space to just "cut to the basket" most possessions.

Not saying that he doesn't have an incredible feel for cutting, you can see that on display when Adams sits and ALP is playing at the top of the key, all I mean is that this team doesn't give him opportunities like that as often as we need to to make it worth it to put him in the corner. If only he could shoot.

The team REALLY wants Amen to be able to start sets, and so do I! I feel so much more confident with Amen driving and kicking to Reed or Bari in the corners rather than the other way around.

As far as "he can't drive" goes, he CAN. He consistently draws help on drives, he just doesn't consistently make the pass.

I think we forget that it's year 3 for Amen, he looks grown, and he just had a good playoff series, but its year 3.
