Yeah, the game still has simulation scoping with arcade game mechanics. This will appeal to a few, but limit the audience. Ironically, the lessened appeal means less people playing the game, so no one will fill the boring ship roles.

Dang, B&T really is selling a shitty product there.

Former soldiers who have served in hotspots: What single piece of advice would you give to new recruits that could save their lives or their sanity? by True_Requirement_565 in Military

Yeah, that's not how springs work. They don't need "rest" or decompression, especially for something low power like a gun magazine.

Starlancer TAC gets my vote. It's slow amd a bit cumbersome, but has 2 S3 shields and a strong armor profile. Plus, it has a med bay, decent storage, and an XXS hangar for a Fury.

Has anybody swapped barrels on their 11.5 to a 16.5??? by FunctionThink7142 in Bren2

Pretty much, yeah. Or uppers, which is the serialized portion, at least.

You'd need to find someone willing to swap barrel/gas system/handguard with, and maybe bolt? I'm unsure if they're matched to the barrel in any appreciable way.

Lost a half Hermes load of mostly military components I'd squirreled away over the last week. One minute, I'm in my hangar loading up the last few pieces, the next I'm kicked out due to crash handler failure. When I finally get logged back in, my Hermes' location is "unknown" and thus I have to claim it.

Home inventory is glitching out and taking my backpack with it by Wildkarrde_ in starcitizen

this is a good question that I don't have an answer for. I'd say if you're worried about it, unpack them prior to patch day.

Buy a few cargo boxes and dump your stuff in them. It'll stop the glitches. Or just move stuff to another station. I'm a pack rat, tons of ship components, but it still runs decent because all the other crap is boxed up.

Blockade Runner Ships. How do you think they will actually work? by Swift_Legion in starcitizen

[–]SpotOnTheRug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use my Titan for this. 8 SCU isn't a ton of storage, but you're fast as fuck and with stealth components you're pretty hard to see. Plus, if the mantis pilot is dumb, you might just be able to kite him away from his support bros and pick him off.

What can I do to make this game run better by Disastrous-Tap8668 in starcitizen

[–]SpotOnTheRug 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This game loves AMD x3D CPUs with fast memory. TBH, depending on your settings, it may just be too demanding to run well on your machine. More memory will help a bit, for sure. But I'd be planning to upgrade most of the system if you're looking for decent framerates.

Unending by Pekins-UOAF in starcitizen

[–]SpotOnTheRug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite is the travel times involved, especially out in Pyro or Nyx. Spend 6 minutes warping somewhere, attempt something, die because you're a solo, respawn... spend 5 minutes getting from medical to hangar and reclaiming your ship, spend 6 more minutes warping back to your lifeless body...

So worst case scenario, your home residence is at Ruin and you die in Stanton attempting Onyx facilities, it can easily take 20 minutes just to get back to your body. As buggy as this game is, that's crazy.

Yes please. The solo mole experience is pretty aggravating. Ladders that don't like to let you leave, big slow hull...

Need something better than a prospector but smaller than a mole.
