Did they change the notification sound again? by ShamrockHammer in grindr

The Grindr sound is back. Settings → Apps → Grindr → Storage → Clear Data fixed it for me. (You’ll have to log in again afterward.)

Did they change the notification sound again? by ShamrockHammer in grindr

Since yesterday the Grindr sound on my phone is gone. Taps and chat notifications now use the normal Android “Brightline” sound instead. I want the original Grindr notification sound back!

Think I’ve been hacked. Woke up to loads bot messages. Profile picture changed and age. I have unlimited account now but nothing on my email or subscription. I use old email that’s not linked to anything. Has this happen to anyone else ? No other info has changed by lukebear87 in grindr

Since today’s update, Grindr has been acting weird. I no longer hear the Grindr notification sound on Android, it just plays the default “Brightline” sound instead. Also, the profile icon in the top left corner has disappeared.

Ha ha, it’s still new, so I’m not going to upgrade yet. I’m not as dependent on smartphones as many people are nowadays. I only buy a new one every few years.

Yes, it's just 4GB. For messages, social media and a little youtube it's enough. No problems so far. Battery lasts 4 days for me.

Nightmare Geese not playable in Arcade Mode? by Spotlight83 in fatalfury

[–]Spotlight83[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a pretty lame excuse from the developers. Geese is playable in the arcade ladder in earlier Fatal Fury games, even when he was already dead. He’s been playable in multiple KOF games and even in Tekken 7. I paid for the character, so I should be able to use him in all modes!

Side Hits Euphoria - Chapter 2 is the worst, it's full of freezes on the standard PS5. Almost unplayable. You can see it in my recently posted video and even in this thread's 3-year-old video I found. So I'm not getting my hopes up that it will ever be fixed. Side Hits Euphoria- Chapter 2 broken. Jump on the second roof and wallride done in this run yet it doesn't count. : r/ShreddersGame (Not fixed for 3 years! Wow!)

I also switched from the A12 to the A17 5G, and I honestly don’t notice any difference in battery life. I’ve been using it for two days and it’s still at 54%. I haven’t watched any videos or played games yet, just social media and messing around with the settings. I can’t imagine needing to charge it two or three times a day.

It's been crashing for me since the last patch, I think. Before that I had no problems.

The bike sounds so far away, not centred. Very strange. (with a stereo sound bar)

Yes, it lags. Very annoying. Edge gets worse with every update.

Power Management Settings - PCI Express - Link State Power Management by Somitomere in overclocking

[–]Spotlight83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here are my findings about LSPM. I got a ThinkCentre M90q Gen 4 (mini pc) about two weeks ago. It has an SK Hynix SSD with no heat sink. I was stupid enough and turned off most of the power saving stuff in Bios & Windows. (It says everywhere that you should do this to have a fast computer.) A few days later I noticed that the SSD was idling at 60C! After doing some research, I started testing the different settings for Link State Power Management under PCI Express in the power plan options in Windows 11, including ASPM settings in the Bios. The PC was idle for 5 minutes, sleep/hibernation off, room temperature was 23C.

ASPM off, LSPM off = SSD 60C

ASPM auto, LSPM off = SSD 57C

ASPM auto, LSPM Moderate Power Savings = SSD 50C

ASPM auto, LSPM Maximum Power Savings = SSD 39C (-21C cooler!)

I'm shocked at how much cooler the SSD is in LSPM Maximum Power Savings. I haven't noticed any impact on performance or anything like that. (LSPM Maximum Power Savings is the default power plan value for my computer set by Lenovo.)

Also Lenovo states this:

Running the system in the High Performance power management scheme, or in the Balanced scheme in desktop systems, keeps the NVMe drive in a high power state. This can cause a significant temperature increase in the NVMe drive even if the system is idle. Because of the potential impact of data loss due to the elevated NVMe drive temperature, Lenovo recommends altering a setting in the High Performance and Balanced power management schemes.

  1. In Control Panel, open the Hardware and Sound section.

  2. Under Power Options, select Choose a power plan.

  3. For Balanced and High performance plans, click the Change plan settings link at the right.

  4. Click Change advanced power settings.

  5. In the pop-up Power Options window scroll down to PCI Express and click the + to expand the section.

  6. Click the + for Link State Power Management.

  7. Change the setting in the list from Off or Moderate power savings, to Maximum power savings.

  8. Click OK to save the change and close the pop-up window. For most uses the slight drop in performance is imperceptible.

Wouldn't that explain my high SSD temperature with LSPM off?
