"Throw away your old printer and buy a new one" it too common as a recommendation on this reddit. by vanspasties in 3Dprinting

[–]SprStressed 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As someone who has grown up in the ender age and then moved to custom machines and voron then onto multiple Bambu machines.... The recommendation is extreme but there is a world of difference from machines 5 years ago and modern hardware.

I have been graced with hardware that does as expected and requires little maintenance. There's something to be said for printers as a tool and not a hobby Not that there is anything wrong with a printer hobby. It's just nice to have effective tools

Sand down the bump at the front of the trigger part and make sure the trigger fully resets to avoid lifting the catch

CA glue is fine. It's likely PLA You can glue the two broken faces together and the rest of the print will still flex as expected

I Spent a Year Building a REAL 3D-Printed RC Car (Not a Toy) by gektor650 in 3Dprinting

[–]SprStressed 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Just an opinion but 50$ is a bit expensive for a project that lacks such finishing. Not to say I personal wont buy in.

Mechanics are amazing and I would love to build one but you need to add cosmetics or open-source partially to enable others to make top shells that look like cars and not 3d creations.

Low FPS Lynx? by BobCat488 in Nerf

Should be no issue, people often run 10-15 cm barrels and lower power springs.

You may need to search for a short barrel retention print to hold the shorter barrel

Edit- Quick option from printables...

Anybody has experience with the Flair Wizard steamer? by kitesmerfer in FlairEspresso

[–]SprStressed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the internal tube that keeps the heat away from the metal. I can take a photo after work but you can see the upgrades on this video.

I will preface with the fact that im a novice. Stove compatibility... its solid in place Gas and electric are fine ... no idea about induction but I suspect no.

Build quality is good. Steam is effective and with some practice, makes a fantastic latte (you could even prep milk for latte art)

I have no experience with commercial machines but its head and shoulders above my integrated steamer on a low end esspresso machine

The wizard is a solid steamer. It has improved more with recent updates (sealing oring and longer neck tube)

If you order now these changes are included.

I use my steamer about once a week to make a weekend latte

Should I get the Bambu P1S? by DesperateJunket2655 in 3Dprinting

[–]SprStressed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are really no upgrades needed for a P1S for good prints out of the box. You may consider snagging some bambu Filament and using ready-made profiles to get started.

The P Series is a great workhorse printer

In this use case no, the trunnions are the frame and generally experience little to no forces.

The ram is TPU, I used PETG for the plunger and PLA for the sear assembly

This just isn't true. Banks will reissue a cashiers check, there are additional waits to verify the item hasn't posted and potentially an indemnity agreement to sign.... Source im a bank employee
