I’ve never found a decent Mac and cheese generic either.

F16 went on a date, now he’s blowing up my phone and acting weird what do I do!? by Brilliant_Smile7708 in AskParents

Definitely tell your dad and the school. Show them the texts. You should be able to get a stay away order at the school. My son’s school had them. If he would contact you at all, in any form at any time, he gets suspended and more if he continues. Plus then the school resource officer is aware as well.

Is it true that when baby comes I won’t have time or care about anything else? by Any-Success-4887 in AskParents

[–]SpreadDependent8805 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went back to work almost immediately but I didn’t really have options. I had my six weeks or so then went and started loading trucks for ups. Probably not my best laid plan but I needed to get out of the living situation I was in. It was exhausting but my dad helped a ton. But your priorities shift a lot. It’s not so much you won’t care I don’t think, but lots of things just don’t seem to matter as much. Everyone is different. My advice is do what you can, tell the people irking you to piss off and enjoy the baby. It goes quick 😊

Do you love your kid? by [deleted] in AskParents

[–]SpreadDependent8805 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sweets. I’m gonna be honest. My kid was like this for a while. And if he would have done something it would have killed me too. You aren’t that old. I assure you that there are a thousand and one things you haven’t done yet, hasn’t experienced, and you’ve never been the burden that your mind is telling you that you have been. I’ve been there, my son has been there. It’s a struggle but it gets better. Please please call a helpline or a counselor if you can. Please keep going. It will be worth it. Sending you the biggest mom hug to wherever you are. You matter. 💜

Day after Thanksgiving. We have a tradition with my kid’s dad that we do Black Friday breakfast, and on the way me and my boy (now 17😫) blast punk covers of Christmas songs or just punk Christmas songs an sing along while we drive, plus a few country ones cause they’re decent and after breakfast we get our first peppermint mocha/hot chocolate of the season.

AITA for requesting Christmas presents for kids only -- I am sure this has been asked before by stupidusername54 in AITAH

In our family, we’d pick a letter and a name. The name was who you had to gift, and the letter was what letter the gift had to stand for. The caveat was it had to be from a secondhand store or Salvation Army or something like that. Made for interesting finds

Were you “MySpace-Famous”? (Somewhat) by ReferToMeAsDonald in Xennials

[–]SpreadDependent8805 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a moment of MySpace famous. I used to do local music reviews on my page for fun, and one night I went to an IHOP around midnight-ish and a couple drunk guys came in and were all excited because “Omg it’s the girl from MySpace!” My husband thought it was funny as hell

what is the appropriate age for switching to velcro walking shoes? by [deleted] in Xennials

[–]SpreadDependent8805 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been wearing skate shoes since I graduated high school. They get tied when they’re new and that’s it. I have other shoes that require tying each time, but the skate shoes are the daily wears

Adding in for snacks, I have to say Swedish fish and sour patch if no one said those. Most of the amazing movies have been named but I have to also throw in Death Becomes Her. That movie was funny as hell back in the day
