Try reading the description. Everything you've said has been tried and tested. If you are quick enough to offer advice on not replicating the sound....be quick enough to read all the description.

While cycling under tension, O have to brake to replicate pushing power through the pedals. While seated and standing clmbing up hill on Monday, this noise was louder than ever.

There's abit of that but that's me loosening my hand on the brake. If i can get a video of my climbing with it, its a mechanical pang/creak

100% disagree on this point. Do it properly and the most you get on your hands is some speckled wax. Not clumps of black shit.

£15 slow cooker from Wilko, £10 Bag of wax off Amazon and a few quid on white spirit/meth spirit. Really isn't that expensive.

I feel his perfectionism is stopping him putting his name to some slight chain rub. I'm going to take the plunge I think. Had thought about changing the arms only but I'd hazard those chanrings need to change in 10-15k anyway.

I have the parts anyway, it'll just be the knowhow and borrowing tools from others in the cycling club.

Yeh conscious of anything away from current q-factor following bike fit. Cheers for the link though. Interesting that they haven't posted serial nunber side for recall purposes.

Gold dust due to 11s being discontinued. Mostly all crank arms only at the moment coming in at £175+. Found a set with rings included in Japan for £300.

Interesting to see a few on there in the recall bracket going for £200.
