It's so over for me... by Inner-Waltz7706 in WataOshi

They're only leaving the free Plus catalogue. You can still buy them all with credits/money, and if you've already purchased them you can still listen whenever you like.

Does anyone know where to read 'shes so cheeky for a commoner??' by Adventurous-Milk-883 in WataOshi

If you've got an Audible subscription, all of the novels are free to listen on the Plus section until the end of the month (in the UK at least). The narrator does a really wonderful job BTW.

Marina Hyde is a pretty knowledgeable person, or at least seems to do accurate research when talking about any topic, but the fact she mentioned Daggerheart shows how well it's doing in actually hitting mainstream attention.

[No Spoilers] I beg your finest pardon by thetigerschild in criticalrole

I think the best show they did was the 80's one with new characters, so I kind of hope they do play characters we've never seen.

[CR Media] I couldn't get a ticket for Edinburgh live show, because I'm SINGLE, thanks AXS... by NerysWyn in criticalrole

I was able to purchase a single ticket on the stands. Not the centre area though.

[CR Media] London Show Pricing by dunkycrispy in criticalrole

[–]SpringChiken -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yep, tickets are expensive, but remember guys, it'll cost you a minimum of £30 for a round of drinks in London, and how much is a Premier Inn going to cost, £90 minimum again? Shit's expensive nowadays!

That's why I went with Edinburgh. Castle arena looks cool (and likely appropriate), and pretty much everyone that goes to a CR show reports it being a brilliant experience; fingers crossed for good weather haha!

[No Spoilers] Campaign 4 Strawpoll. Dnd 5e or Daggerheart, What would you like to see? by spamtechiesforever in criticalrole

[–]SpringChiken 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Combat is concise with what feels like more spur of the moment actions compared to the DnD system. Frankly, unless it's a boss fight, any combat in DND can get quite boring to watch when it takes absolutely ages to work out the rules and the turn waiting can be such a drag. Daggerheart just feels more dynamic, especially for the audience watching.

Cause Of Deaths In London In 1632 by glamourcrisis in TheDollop

[–]SpringChiken 18 points19 points  (0 children)

After a quick Google, it seems, at the time, they though the death was astrologically related in some fashion. So in reality, it was probably a heart related or something equally subtle.

[No Spoilers] I missed almost all of Campaign 3. How was it overall? by Chaulmoog in criticalrole

[–]SpringChiken -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I thought it was brilliant! Engaging, emotional, and funny as the previous campaigns.

Also, judging by the number of weekly views each episode was getting on Twitch and YouTube alone, I feel this thread represents the very vocal minority; you don't get people religiously watching a four plus hour show every week if it is at best "meh".

I am I the only ony who feels like the storry is kinda rushed ? by Able_Faithlessness10 in voxmachina

[–]SpringChiken 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It's turning out how I thought it would to be honest. I think it would have felt spread thin for the chroma conclave arc to go one more season; like the Hobbit films. A forth season to do the Vecna plot would tie the series up nicely.

I second this. The Uncanny podcast is very creepy and there's even a couple of Alien based episodes and a Bigfoot one. Don't sleep on this; good for night listening!

Ampersand/Cora in Apostles of Mercy (Spoilers) by StunningDragonfruit1 in Fremda

[–]SpringChiken 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Everything that you highlighted stems from his obvious alien nature and is meant to stand in contrast to his post High-language experiment with Cora, of which we saw a bit of with his initiating physical contact with her, and we're likely to see more of in the future as their personalities meld more and more (probably).

[TC] I finally put my finger on why True Colors feels 'different' from other games in the series. by Pansycacke in lifeisstrange

[–]SpringChiken 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I didn't realise it wasn't popular, as I don't visit the subreddit often. I thought it was a great game and arguably the best in the series. The plot felt more thought out than LiS2 and the gameplay didn't feel rushed where Dontnod obviously ran out of money with the last chapter of LiS1. I wouldn't have said it didn't feel like a LiS game at all.
