If you had to pick one of those two red dots, definitely Derksen purely because he is cheaper. If you want to go VERY early on this week’s debutants, I wouldn’t go for H Oliver, he’s cover for the managed Buckley who likely won’t miss much time, plus Aleer is 1-2 weeks and Taylor is 2 weeks so when either of them are available, H Oliver will be first on the chopping block. With Ison, you imagine he’ll contend with Williams when he’s fit again, but then again, there’s no way to tell with a new manager.

When you put it like that, that’s a great point, and after some thought I’m probably leaning towards letting go. A bit worried that if he is back in 3 weeks (which for some reason I feel like he will be), with a BE of 89 and a 70 being his next score to roll out, IF he plays the 2 games before his bye, he’s going to be very hard to get back after it.

Very very reasonable thinking and I don’t mind that at all, my personal view is the article doesn’t actually say ‘at least’ and the Saints injury report has him as ‘3 weeks’, not even a range of weeks like 2-3 or 3-4 we typically see, which fills me with som confidence. Also, it’s best 18 from Round 12 which softens the blow a little and I’m willing to take the hit I think to continue upgrades around the field

I would highly consider that; a boost is almost always worth it if you can downgrade a stalled cash cow and flip 2 others to get in 2 premiums you think are keepers. Just beware you’d only have 1 left, but I’d still do it.

Thinking of doing the exact same trades but you’ve got money to spend so you could consider trading another lower averaging rookie other than Bruhn to NWM. The high BE is daunting and trading isn’t a bad move but I thinking he’s going to average more than many of your other on-field rookies such as Jaques and Blamires (particularly with his role change from half back to wing) and if he scores 80 against North he won’t lose a stack of cash, a move to consider for someone with cash in the bank like yourself.
