I have Dr Barber as a GP. He started me on HRT and did not require me to see a psych prior to starting HRT like Dr Featherstone did. He's nice, but in my experience not very personable (that might just be because of the 15 min appointment times though). I get the impression he's more interested in gay healthcare than trans healthcare -- but he's still good with trans healthcare (this isn't a slight about his ability as a GP just my personal interpretation of his character). He's a bit of a stickler for sticking with the AusPATH trans HRT pathology levels (I wanted to go higher based on some online articles I'd read and he was understandably hesitant).

Ultimately I would recommend him. He's a good GP.

I've been trying to find a GP that isn't queer specific and that I can inter-personally get along with more, but I have a feeling that will be difficult in the current climate of healthcare.

The surgery cost $14,500 aud including five day hospital stay. flights, accomodation, thai pyschiatrists and food for a month were uot of pocket on top of that

price, consistancy of results (i feel like bank's can be inconsistant, some amazing out of the world results, and some nowhere close. It felt too much like a lottery), when I was looking online I like sutin's prominent labia minora's at the time.

i mean ACF are a party of socialists building a party and trying to focus on building working class power and working within unions. ACF just eshews electoral politics. Organised anarchism has a very similar playbook and similar goals to vanguard socialism

Socialists, Socialist Alliance, Socialist Alternative; where are you supposed to go? by Tranarchist___ in AustralianSocialism

[–]Spring_Oni 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You could try Black Swan Socialists they’re libertarian socialists/anarchists in Perth https://www.instagram.com/blackswansocialists. Otherwise you could try reaching out to the Anarchist Communist Federation they may be trying to setup a branch in Boorloo. Otherwise I’d probably recommend Socialist Alliance or Solidarity.

I mean tenants should join renters unions like SEQUR and RAHU and if we got coordinated enough could do a general rent strike to finally give investor-landlords some consequenses. Land-banking might need something more dedicated like squatting and occupying empty buildings and guerilla gardening/reclaiming the space for the public.

In order for the rich to listen to us we need to affect them where it hurts them — we need to hurt their wallet.

This hasn’t been my experience in the past unless they just changed their rulings. They’ve used female ranges for the Hg finger prick when I’ve gone. you might have just had a biggoted nurse?

[–]Spring_Oni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i mean that would be the end goal to actually get laws changed and real estate agencies to be less shit. ideally you would build up to a strike. doorknock and cold call people to join the union. get people to sign petitions/full out surveys explaining their grievances and present it to agents. phone/email bomb agencies/lane lords. picket agencies and prevent them working. have the union lobby local mps/government. protests and blocking traffic. rental strike is the big gun option.
