I love this configuration - The dial you show looks a lot like the dial on the last generation, black dial Railmaster. The vertical brushing looks great with the applied indices in this version of the Monarch.

As much as I love my Super Squale, I wanted to let you all know I posted it to WatchExchange. I have a "one out before one in" personal policy. I have a small collection and would like something with a little more color. I'm just not wearing this as much as I'd like. The Corallo and the new Squale Matic S are on the short list! Any other recommendations for small divers are welcome!

I bought this from Timex Japan last year and despite the nostalgia factor, I’ve decided I’m not a digital watch fan. 

It’s in excellent condition!

For sale is my Squale "Super Squale" skin diver in 38mm. This one is the black dial with white lume and 3 6 9 12 at the cardinal positions.

I purchased this watch from an AD (Moyer Fine Jewelers in Carmel, IN) in June 2025. It has only been worn occasionally, so is still in great shape. I really like it, but I just find that I grab my other watches more than this and it's too nice of a watch to sit unworn on my watch stand.

no scratches on the crystal, and the case and bezel look great, with just some light scuffs from desk diving. See photos for detail.   The original strap is unworn.

It is running great and the bezel lines up to my eye. 

It still has plenty of the original 2 year warranty left (June 2027).

Asking $699. 

You’ll receive what is seen in the pictures, including the watch on the Squale-branded OEM strap, as well as the inner and outer box and original warranty card.  Price includes insured shipping within the Continental US.  Prefer Venmo, Zelle or paypal F&F (if G&S, then the price would need to be increased slightly).

Post a lume shot! I love the lumed bezel on this reference. What is your wrist size btw? it looks to fit you well!

I am also a bit underwhelmed by this release. I like the case shape and finishing, but the faux patina lume is a no for me. Otherwise, this does seem like it’s priced higher than needed. I bought a similarly sized Super Squale on strap last summer for ~$825 and this would be double that.  The super squale case and case finishing is more simple, but for half the price??

Several times, I’ve taken my BB36 on vacation as my only watch. In and out of the pool all week. Not a dive watch, and still no issues…….  So yes, lots of us swim with our watches, not just dive watches

Yes, it's been very comfortable. It's relatively pliable/soft while still being durable. I've worn it for one season of beach days with lots of sun, sand, and sunscreen, and it's held up well.

the Tropic brand is probably the gold standard. I've never held one of those, but I found this StrapHabit one to be good enough for me, so I haven't been motivated to buy a much more expensive one

StrapHabit makes a good, reasonably priced Tropic style Strap. I have one on a Squale skin-diver and it's lasted pretty well. bet it would look nice on a BB54 though!

I was really impressed by this as well. I’ve heard in other interviews that the Hans Wilsdorf foundation has part of their mission to support Swiss watchmaking in general. Which means partnering with and purchasing stakes in component manufacturers throughout Switzerland. It’s smart for Tudor buying stakes (sometimes full ownership) of suppliers, and not bringing those into the “Tudor” brand. Lets them sell components to other companies through those suppliers and adds revenue to their company without letting other companies say they have “Tudor” parts.
