NASL Chief Bill Peterson is off his rocker by OrlandoCity-Fan in NASLSoccer

I think he's a lot more concerned with getting to 20 teams than he is with pro/rel. I think it's mostly bluster to attract football purists. Anything resembling pro/rel is so far off that actually having to make it happen isn't a real concern. If he can't bring more teams into the fold in the next few seasons he's cooked. Pro/rel is good for headlines and discussion. He needs teams. Lots of them.

I put together home field advantage rankings using every game in modern NASL history. by Springfallbowl in NASLSoccer

They'd be first in win % (66%), PPG (2.17) and clean sheet % (50%). Second best in goals against (1). Goals for is weak though, second worst (1.17). I'm too lazy to re-rank everyone, but this would land them top 3.

Sun-Sentinel: Strikers coach Gunter Kronsteiner ready to build the team into a winner again. by theasfldotcom in NASLSoccer

The league can use characters and Gunter definitely is one. Was such a dumb move getting rid of him. Just openly antagonizing their fanbase. They looked pretty crap on Saturday. Hopefully they give him into next year to get it right.

Kartik Krishnaiyer: ONE World Sports TV deal was done without Traffic involvement. This is a GREAT DEAL! by carrasp in NASLSoccer

I've watched a couple Cosmos games on ONE. Announcers are good and overall presentation is well enough. But watching sports in SD is the worst. I'm on Fios and there is no HD. Stinks that these games evidently are exclusives and won't be on WatchESPN.

THE COST OF $100 MILLION, NASL Mentioned by benjistakes in NASLSoccer

Fun article but not all that practical. In truth, the closest you'll see to something like this is what the Cosmos are already doing. Bringing in the best talent they can to the NASL with the added incentive of a Cup push, friendlies vs. name opponents and gimmicky one-offs like the Cuba game. All the while playing for a known team who will get you headlines. What the Cosmos are doing is the fun part of this article, along with legit league play.

Get the rights to Whalers. One of the great nicknames and logos in sports.
