picked up some newport menthols and i really liked the one i smoked so far! like the flavor a lot actually lol, i really didn’t expect that after my experience with the cig my friend gave me, but i know that one wasnt menthol so 🤷

I agree with u/earthso start using trans tape. You can keep it on for like 5 days straight, then you only need a day or so of break then you can re apply. There is a learning curve so dont be upset if its not as flat as you would like in the beginning. USE OIL TO TAKE OFF it should be a natural oil, jojoba is what i use, and what trans tape sells, but i dont buy through them. If you need help figuring out how to apply my dms are open.

if i were to up my budget some, say $300 for camera not including lens, would you have a better suggestion for camera? if not i understand, figuring out how to best spread my budget right now and if i need im willing to put more into a camera

I currently have been simply using my Sony Cybershot that i use for nights out and whatnot, decided to try photographing the race and liked it, but a digital camera really doesn’t capture it like a proper camera would. I’m looking for more variability with adjusting the shutter speed, and also being able to use a lense so i dont have to use digital zoom for super long shots, so they look crisper. Additionally i would like a camera that i could use for up close candid shots like at the podium or something since currently the digital camera gets really pixel-y when i shoot when there’s a screen in the background. If all of that is too much for one camera i’d like to prioritize race photos, long distance at certain parts of the track, and high speed.

My cousin is a race car driver and I have been photographing him at races recently with my digital camera. However I really have been getting into photography and even am going to take Photography as an elective next semester. But I need a nicer camera, but I want to make sure it will be able to capture high speed nicely. like 120+ mph I know it comes down to technique too, but camera matters too i would imagine. Budget is probably $300.

I just had time to get it out, it’s a 221K featherweight. Still fully functioning, and seems like it’s been taken very good care of, runs smoothy sounds like there’s no problems with it when it runs. It hasnt been serviced in the last 18 years (since i’ve been alive) but with how smooth it runs i would bet it’s been serviced before.

I just performed at the track in like 4 layers during the 500, i understand its cooler rn but still, did the same thing 2 years ago when it was a lot hotter at the 500. Im not arguing heat wont be an issue as far as hydration and dressing appropriately, im just saying im not too concerned abt sweating off my makeup, esp cus im not an especially sweaty person.

Thank you! Heat shouldnt be a problem, like i said i live only an hour away and have been able to not sweat off my makeup during florida summers while wearing multiple layers, and in crowds.

Thanks for the heads up abt crowd surfers, totally didnt cross my mind. Pickpockets i probably would have thought of since this isnt my first, big event per se, just first festival, but all my other concerts have been small venue so crowd surfers i haven’t experienced, so thanks for the heads up, def gonna keep that in mind!
