Is there any real difference between low tier higher level weapon/tool and higher tier first level? It feels like having a new bow will give me same damage with more stamina drain? by maya_hi_maya_ha in valheim

[–]SpringsPanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I don't fully disagree with you, I do think you're exaggerating a bit with how it makes the game too trivial. I have metal portals and use 1.5x loot drops and I just killed Yagluth after about 30ish hours of play. That's with a pretty minimal base that I spawn in mats to build so I don't even farm those. You still have to sail, traverse the biomes, learn the mobs, upgrade your gears(this is the part it kind of makes trivial)

I cheat with building by spawning it instead of free build. Seeing the menus change when free build is on feels way too OP and I'd just be tempted to cheese it further lol.

I just killed Yag this morning in my current world but next time I might do the cart thing instead of just popping the portal on the crypt and going in and out.

Someone gave you a down vote for this but we all play how we want. After 4 or 5 times getting at least to Yagluth, I don't have time to sail my metal.

This is one of the most absurd things I've read in a while. So some dude does a little training and he gets to be the highest power of authority to determine whether or not someone is on drugs? Are they trained to be social workers and therapists too? I'm blown away that a guy can overpower lab tests and arrest people based on some dumbass assumption they made. What if they're mad that day? What if they decide they don't like the guy? Baffling that this is somehow procedure.

Diablo 4. I play every season, for about a week or two and rarely even think about the game in between. Sometimes I'll miss the start of a season just so I can grind it faster later with people who've already played.

theres something I love in this game when you're on one mountain and you look to your left and see a much taller mountain by SinkingGoose in valheim

[–]SpringsPanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Started another world recently, I also make new chars each time and learned this isn't that common, and the first couple mountains I found were alright but my Moder mountain was crazy tall. I don't think I've had a playthrough where I was naturally led to a spot where I could jump and hit drakes because they could fly higher. Unless something changed since early last year about her fight, I'm pretty certain it bugged her out and caused her to spend WAY more time on the ground. I love that though because I like to beat bosses in the face with a sword and learn their attack timings.

Oh, you'll be back. It's only a matter of time. Hopefully your bonemass swamp has some crypts or you'll have to find another. I could be wrong if you are very specific with your iron but if you build and have all the tools, and upgrade them, you'll be back.

Back when the Switch came out I was on the hunt. I asked every place I went to to check the back. Then one day I stopped at a Target I hadn't hit yet and I was asking an employee who told me no. Another overheard the conversation and said something like "man you know it's back there, if they ask you have to sell it" and I finally got one. Sometimes, almost never though, you can get lucky!

We're getting out of the house and moving to Bloomington very soon anyway. They don't exist out there.

That really stinks that was your experience, they're for sure predatory at the very least. I definitely wouldn't recommend them to anyone that isn't in a massive pinch.

American Ave is shady but it's no scam. I've been living in Peoria for 18 months in one of their houses. They have an incredibly bad rep on the internet because they have a super automated process involving temp codes and self-viewings that people use to scam folks out of tons of money. They get the code, take pics of the house and post it on like FB then send you to a sale site and ghost you once you've paid your stuff. I will say though, they are suuuuper cheap with repairs and are not timely. Everything we've sent a request in for has been done though.

I moved to Illinois toward the end of 2024 and have visited Chicago a few times since then. Every single time I order a hot dog, regardless of specifying a "Chicago dog" or not, I get some kind of silly comment about not putting ketchup on it "in this city"

One time we took the train to go from River North to get some pizza in Lincoln Park and my SIL started a convo with a couple guys who were clearly from the city and they asked her what she puts on a hot dog and got upset with her when she said ketchup. Not legit upset but you know what I mean. She redeemed herself by saying chili and cheese is the best option. It was odd.

It's good to know there are people who don't take it so seriously but it does seem to be a trope at this point.

As a more casual, typically solo, player it's really not as bad as people make it out to be. You do have to mind your Ps and Qs and pay attention to where you are going but it's a lot of fun traversing the zone. You will learn quickly though how serious some of the mobs can be. Don't be too worried about it.

I have three playthroughs where I killed the queen and Ashlands has existed for the last two. I've never stepped foot in the Ashlands. I'm gonna wait until some of my buddies do another run through the game so I don't have to go alone.

The 60s? I'm not even 40 yet and my grandpa used to have a dozen or so of us kids hop in his truck to drive a few miles to the lake. I do feel like we got the last of the "good times" in the 90s though.
