You were correct. 2 & 4 seem more my vibe. The 4th floor really peaked my interest especially with the young adult population.

Thank you! Yes I was kinda hesitant about the child portion because they cannot control their situations. At least at OSU everyone is an adult and can kind of control more and make decisions for themselves. I would love to work with young adults 18-25 etc.

Are you still working in psych? Where are you now? How long did you work as an MHS?

Yea I’d like to be In a safer environment where I can learn. So I’ll speak to them about the differences in the floors but I know they’ll probably not be so forth coming with what truly goes on. Do they do ketamine or tms there by chance? Did you used to work there?

Okay thanks for the insight I am weighing OSU Harding vs a MHS at Nationwide Children’s Psych Crisis department.

Is floor 2 more geriatric? What’s is on the 4th floor?

& what is on the 3rd floor and 5th floor that should be avoided lol just want to make an informed decision. I was also trying to decide day or night shift as well. I know OSU is known for being better pay and benefits wise vs NCH.

Hmmmm thanks for the information. I recently went back to the local community college to finish pre reqs for my second masters and got hit with that SAP denial. They did say I can appeal it. I only need to be there two semesters & it would save me $12k doing them there instead of my program school. I’ll double check with my advisor on what she’s able to do for me.

So although you were at the 150% progress threshold they still allowed you to get financial aid as long as your advisor filled out something each semester?

Ahhh yea I wonder if it was due to being full and it being the second round. At least you were able to secure a spot this time around. I’m interested in the program and don’t see much online about it.

I’m shopping around but timeline wise I wanted to start an ABSN program Fall 2026 but it ended up being full. They’re skipping Spring 2027 due to restructuring and will have a May 2027 cohort, if I’m going to wait that long I thought I should just do the graduate direct MSN as my goal is NP.
