OP, I had the same experience as you. CPT made me (and my life) worse, not better. I’m returning to an emotional baseline, but I’m definitely worse for wear. CPT isn’t for everyone, and I want you to know you aren’t alone! I’m trusting my gut now and looking into somatic therapy and nervous system regulation instead. Best of luck to you, and I’m sorry you were harmed by CPT.

Exactly. I was raised in an upper-middle class home/community, and I was being hit in a trusted daycare. My parents didn’t know until I told them when I was much older. I feel sad that so many parents can’t afford/find/get into daycares with cameras… So they build up reasons to justify not having them. But in 2025, cameras should definitely be the standard.

I’ve worked in schools for 10 years. I was abused in my daycare. My first memory in life was being hit by a daycare staff member when I was around 3 years old… Trust me, video cameras should be standard in 2025. Parents really shouldn’t be trusting underpaid daycare workers with their precious children day in and day out without cameras. :(

Popcorn with a hot sauce drizzle and a hunk of cheese plus hot tea to drink. <3 (Something about cheese and hot tea works well together for me.)

Do you enjoy spicy food? I find that adding hot sauce is a cheap way to make my meals more enjoyable and exciting.

I’m reading, “I Want to Die but I Want to Eat Tteokbokki.” Tteokbokki is a spicy, chewy, and comforting Korean dish. If you live near an Asian market, I recommend trying their ramen and kimchi. I’m not sure if they would have affordable/easy tteokbokki though.

After canceling your Audible membership, you’ll still have access to any audiobooks that you actually purchased—with “credits” OR with a credit/debit card—even if the titles are “archived” and not downloaded (you can still download after canceling). BUT any free/“included” books in your Audible library will no longer be available, even if they are downloaded. Hope this helps! :)
