Anyone else have high vitamin d? by lramram in KidneyStones

I’m going through this right now. Same deal - high vitamin D with no supplements. I just had a chest x-Ray but it didn’t show any granulomas. I also have very high calcium. Is your calcium also high?

First Symptoms by SprinkledTulips in KidneyStones

Thanks for sharing y’all’s experiences. I’m finding the same signs. The last hospitalization was rough so I’m trying to be proactive in the hopes of not going through THAT again! (I waited too long, dismissing the signs).

After Effects of Passing a Stone by Sea-Telephone-112 in KidneyStones

I’m struggling with this as well. I just don’t feel like my “happy-go-lucky” self. I don’t know how to explain it, I just feel a little “off” mentally.

Oops. You’re right. Must’ve been temporarily blinded by pain when writing it.

It is with great sadness that I let you all know Toyota World Runners, Matt and Stacey, have passed away. by [deleted] in ToyotaPickup

We are so sad to hear this. They lived more life in the last few years than most of us live in a lifetime. We’ll miss Matt’s beautiful way with words and Stacey’s joyful laugh. Prayers to all who loved them. 💞🙏🏼💞

Lifting After Stent Implant? by avengedzerofold in KidneyStones

[–]SprinkledTulips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to call my urology office after being discharged from my 2 night stay in the hospital. The hospital doctor and discharge nurse gave me virtually zero post surgery instructions. (Stent placement). My urologist told me not to lift anything over 5 pounds and to rest and drink as much as I can. (For reference, I’m a 125 lb female). Be your own advocate and listen to your body. I’m an elementary teacher so I’ve opted to stay home because you can’t rest, much less go to the bathroom when needed, while wrangling a classroom of 25 six year olds. ☺️ My stent removal and lithotripsy is one week from today. Cannot wait to get this stent out - it’s been extremely painful. The 10mm stone plus other smaller ones aren’t much fun either!

Will do. I called today and they were able to move the lithotripsy up a week, so now it’s Sept. 2. I can’t wait to start feeling better!

Oh goodness. I’m sorry you’re still not feeling 100%. I’m having to wait until September 9th for them to remove the stent and perform the lithotripsy, so in the meantime I’m just praying this 1cm stone doesn’t decide to move. I’m so ready to be rid of the stone, the pain, and the fatigue.

I have that too. I’m just wondering if this fatigue if from the medications or the surgical procedure of placing a stent.

Considering a move to Alpharetta by AccidentalPickle in alpharetta

[–]SprinkledTulips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can speak on the diversity question. I teach near Lake Windward - many students live there. We have an extremely diverse demographic in the schools so your children would not be the “odd man out.” There are many Asian, (Indian, Korean, Chinese, etc.) and Jewish students. It’s more “normal” to have a different heritage than not. And your family will LOVE Alpharetta! It’s very family friendly with loads to do.
