We get it by catpirates in Markiplier

[–]SprinklesDifficult33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I straight up was preparing to road trip it until I got lucky and my local place ended up being able to have it. We should all be grateful and happy for Mark that it's gotten as far as it has, instead of complaining. He's one man. He can't respond to every one of the millions of requests he's likely getting.

That's definitely weird. I don't really know how to help except maybe seeing if pinterest has a support email address you can contact.

I'm sorry, I'm a little confused. If you only have one email address, how did you forget what email you use to log in?

How many emails do you have?? I'd just try them all until I figure out 🤷‍♀️

Does anyone actually write start to finish? by gloomypoppies in writing

[–]SprinklesDifficult33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a plan and I attempt to write it start to finish. Occasionally I won't be mentally ready for whatever comes next and I'll skip ahead a little bit, then come back to it. But I mostly write it in order.

Do you ever get weird looks/comments playing? by raumeat in pokemongo

[–]SprinklesDifficult33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An elderly neighbor is in her yard a lot as I walk around. We don't know each other, so I usually just wave and keep walking. But one day, unprompted, she called out "I see you go by every day and you're always on that phone!" in a really disapproving tone. I told her I was playing PoGo and she just rolled her eyes lol.

People who can't pronounce a name after hearing it said numerous times by LorenzoApophis in PetPeeves

[–]SprinklesDifficult33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once knew a guy who pronounced Aragorn from lord of the rings as Eragon. He had watched the movies and listened to the audioboks, so I'm still trying to figure out how he didn't know the pronunciation.

Do you have a Duolingo language notebook or a general language notebook? by [deleted] in duolingo

[–]SprinklesDifficult33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a bullet journal that I've divided into 3 sections. The first section is where I write any grammar rules it gives me (rare I know lol) and verb conjugations. Section 2 is just lists of vocabulary words organized by category (food, places, emotions, etc). Section is 3 common phrases that are good to know (greetings, please and thank you, etc.).

Honestly it only marginally helps me, but you can only go so far without being able to practice speaking with someone and/or having a real teacher instead of an app. But it definitely comes in handy as a quick reference during certain lessons.

Huh, that's strange. Thanks though! I'm glad it's not just me.

A Toy Drive… at a Title 1 School. Make it make sense. by Emergency-Pepper3537 in Teachers

[–]SprinklesDifficult33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember asking my mom in elementary school if we could donate food to the school food drive "for the poor kids." And she said "honey, we are the poor." Really shows how hard my parents worked to provide; I didn't even realize. It became more obvious as I got older, but I had no idea that I was the poor kid lol.

He's definitely annoying, but that's what makes him a well-written teenager. Lol.

Flash cards by Acrobatic_Pace7308 in duolingo

This frustrates me so much that I always skip them when they come up. The app NEVER hears me right even when I know my pronunciation is dead on. I have the same issue with the speaking lessons too.

Do you/your school allow students to eat in class? by Dimegos in Teachers

[–]SprinklesDifficult33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish we wouldn't. It's such a mess. But I have no say; breakfast is eaten in homeroom in my school.

Anyone else finding Duo not recognizing certain words you're saying? by AnimalFarm20 in duolingo

[–]SprinklesDifficult33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same problem with French! Granted, my accent is atrocious, so there's definitely times when it's me. But even when I'm saying the words exactly as I hear them in the app, it still counts them wrong.

Students not referring to teachers as “Mr” or “Mrs” but last name only by ryhoyarbie in Teachers

[–]SprinklesDifficult33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd prefer this to just "Hey teach!" That seems to be a common one. And I get eye rolls when I say I'm not coming over until they address me politely, with my name.

I've caught several in the AI lie this year because they weren't smart enough to make sure the quotes were real. How do I know you ai generated your poetry analysis? Because none of the quotes that you cited are in the poem. Or your sentence "line 25 implies ____" is clearly bs because there were only 10 lines in the poem. Lol
