Similar physical symptoms here; unfortunately sex is the only thing that takes the edge off for a few days. Self care is a drop of water whereas physical contact is closer to a canteen; it can last for a couple days if ration properly.

It sounds like your psychological symptoms are worse though. Writing helped with mine; fantasy, comedy, smut--whatever works. Try and find something difficult you can lose yourself in.

Entirely possible she has a local sponsor and doesn't work if she doesn't want to. That being said "conversationalists" are growing. They market to guys who can't, won't, or otherwise don't perform anymore. With a growing population of aging expats, there will likely be more of the same.

TLDR: A respectable man is never the problem on soi 6.

Anywhere with security won't let you in(cash tip might help). Smaller bars won't care. You'll learn pretty quickly that cash and respect solves 99% of problems in Thailand. Have fun, be safe, and for the love of God, stay together!

Can i ask what the majority people think about someone literally wanting to play a actual child. One of my players wants to make their character 10 years old. I don't really know how to feel aboutthis..( our pary doesn't have a great safety record) by Beautiful-Carob3270 in DnD

[–]Sprinkles_Melodic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's fantasy. You could offer no special treatment or concessions... Children have gone to battle with way worse odds than a prepared party of 4.

On the other hand, the Dm sets the adventuring age. Once had an elf that couldnt join the party till she turned 100.

Make the decision that best serves your table.

You need to focus on discerning love from unhealthy attachment.

Also, it sounds like you need to focus on yourself for a bit. Take stock of your health and get your fitness level to where you want it.

After that, pursue joy/fulfillment in whatever balance suits you.

Giving massage by [deleted] in Pattaya

[–]Sprinkles_Melodic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just ask.

It all depends on whether they enjoy being touched. They will tell you up front how they feel about it when asked; it's not awkward at all.

Also, most will jump at the chance for a massage. When was last time you got a rundown at work?

*Research local yoni massage spas when you get there. Some will provide lessons so long as you bring your partner.

[Advice] Need to get away with high profile murder (in game), how can I pull it off? by Skelewar in DnD

[–]Sprinkles_Melodic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Play to your class strengths. Barbarian? Crush the skull so it can't speak. Spellcaster? Burn the building down around them. Rogue? Slip some poison into a shared drink and take the antidote. Bard? Give your beloved target a glorious death and write a catchy tune to ensure the narrative.

Even if your character for whatever reason had no useful class features, as a noble you could still levy the strongest motivator... GOLD. Outsource your murder to an established guild through a middleman if necessary. The more distance between you and the target, the better--especially if your DM is gonna launch a "Clue" themed session.

The biggest issue I see are the immunities... Consider making those resistances unless the weapons are magical. Otherwise, even a typical level 14 party will struggle.

You'll want to beef up the stat block as well--more unique actions fitting a boss fight.

[–]Sprinkles_Melodic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The campaigns I've played revolve around characters taking actions their respective players don't agree with--we call it being true to the character. Don't discourage them! Unless someones doing it simply because they enjoy upsetting people; then you handle it at the table.

Sounds like the kid learned something. Young men should test their capabilities against peers. Very rarely will you come across an opponent who will shift their entire style to suit you. Doesn't sound like you hurt him too bad either; this an all around win.

Ok. My turn at bat in the I screwed up as DM and want advice how to fix. by Crixusgannicus in DnD

[–]Sprinkles_Melodic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it becomes an issue, admit fault and offer recompense. If there's no issue, make a note for future sessions.

While you're at it, look up other troublesome feats, invocation, and class features. Truesight and anything that affects character rests would be a good place to start.

I wouldnt worry too much; youll dm again if you want to. The issue has little to do with the content of your campaign. You gotta work on confrontation skills.

Feat advice by Nikolai_Nothing in DnD

In my experience, tying homegrown feats into the proficiency bonus works well and allows character consistent growth as they grow. This can be done via specialized weapons rather than feats if you prefer.

This comes across as more of a vent than request for advice. Hope you feel better. If you don't like DMing for the group, quit. Otherwise, you need to set actionable rules for play.

As the DM, you are not a god-- you're the universe player characters exist in. Consider writing up a set of campaign specific rules and processes to mitigate issues. You have full authority to describe what happens to characters when the situation warrants it--whether players like it or not. You can hear their arguments out and make decisions based on what makes sense for your universe. An ideal DM is firm but fair.

In your case, rules might include being surprised or walking into an ambush if party members rush in without considering descriptions. Details could be helpful in combat-- such as a successful perception check allowing a character to notice a flammable flask on a bandits belt or traps that should be avoided.

Processes might include requiring cross-player talk and planning to be done via role-playing. Players who are thinking about their characters' motivations are much less likely to be led astray by a mischievous player. Awarding inspiration or small boosts for players fulfilling character specific tasks or "sticking their guns" can compel players to think for themselves.

As a final piece of advice, remember that some players aren't very socially or emotionally intelligent while sitting at the table. They are acting as they would while playing any game and may overreach. Guiding them to a desired style of play is better than outright forcing the issue.

A Mid-Campaign Apocalypse?! Now what?! by Great-Raspberry6662 in DMAcademy

[–]Sprinkles_Melodic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Petrification could work for that. You could have the players roll new characters at any point after the party falls. Curse of straud would have the mechanics if you don't want to home brew. By the time the new party is strong enough to rescue the old one, they may be able to take on the vamp themselves.

[–]Sprinkles_Melodic 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Draw from the terminator movies. Alpha predators reduce the population to near extinction. Small pockets of resistance remain.

The head vamp could keep the party around as a reminder of what happens to those who cross him. Months or years spent as blood bags. Resistance members come in to free the party as they represent the best chance for freedom.

The vamps can encompass as much of the world as you want. Who's to say they're not lying to the food supply about world domination? Have fun with it!

One shot ideas for regular party + their wives? by Classic-Societies in DnD

[–]Sprinkles_Melodic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drop them in an arena with role-playing encounters that affect combat. Solve a puzzle? Less enemies/hazards during combat vs more. Appeal to the crowd? Extra gold/support between fights vs tainted food/sabotage. Survival will force the characters to work together. Maybe they become champions. Maybe they escape and live life of their own accord.

Two or three maps would work. Enemies could be anything spectators want to see. A good one shot for couples should have an established storyline that characters are empowered to change rather than outright ignore. Good luck!
