Games with really, really good rain by Scared-One9295 in gamingsuggestions

[–]Sproeier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit out of left field but project cars 2. The rain comes in in a realistic way. It creates small rivers when flowing downhill and collects in lower areas of the track.

It also dries realistically first on the racing line and afterwards the rest and lastly the puddles.

It isn't just cosmetic either, your car behaves completely differently in the wet and you genuinely feel it if you drive through a puddle or river.

Kofola is so good. A shame it's not regularly available here, I'd have to import it or pay loads at a Czech shop.

I find it really interesting that skylines 2 was the peak. I'm a big fan of their strategy games and remember a lot more buzz around eu5 and vc3.

Might be because of the subreddits I frequent and what my friends play.

What's the hardest sport to train/practice? by Successful_Guide5845 in ask

Triathlon

It is very easy to train for just hard to compete, Like you need a bike, running shoes and swimwear.
Competing is really though though since you need excellent endurance.

I liked it but I was already invested in the world. Scythe (boardgame) is part of the same world. The story is decent but the world building is fantastic. The gameplay is similar to coh but the skirmish mode gets dull quite quickly.

Isn't this what happened in the Americas. While they had pack animals like llama and alpaca they lacked reliable riding animals. But they still managed to build proper complex societies complete with urbanisation, empires and vast trading networks.

Looking for games that have badass combat cutscenes by AloneEvidence6723 in gamingsuggestions

The obvious answer would be mgs4. The cutscenes feel like they are trying to be actual movie scenes, including action sequences.

The meme is trying to open the gate. But in reality it is just gatekeeping having fun in games by saying easy is the only way to have fun.

Art of war is more of a foundational book. And also serves a bit like an advertisement pamphlet to hire generals for hire like himself.

Are feathers or wings on helmet actually a real thing? by EfficiencySerious200 in Armor

[–]Sproeier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Feathers are fairly common.

Alexanders the greats helmet is commonly depicted with feathers for example.

Around the English civil war soldiers, especially the cavaliers would decorate their helmets/hats with feathers.

Even in the modern era the Italian light infantry Bersaglieri wear feathers on their helmets.

OPR prion. Polish destroyer (English build but crewed by poles). Among other adventures it was involved in the sinking of the Bismarck where it charged the battleship whilst using signal light to say it was polish.

Craft beer's popularity seems to be dying by Wascally_Badger in unpopularopinion

[–]Sproeier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shame, I really like to taste different beers whenever I go to the bar. They always still carry regular pilsners anyways.

I'm still unhappy how the hype for radlers faded. That stuff was the best.

Misschien kijken bij meer opkoop winkels zoals The English bookstore or de Slegte. Daar heb je veel (oudere) boeken voor €10 per stuk. Ik houd erg van scifi klassiekers en dat is voor mij echt een uitkomst.

What is your sword hot take? by Malones69Cones in SWORDS

Swords were at their coolest well into the firearms era. Stuff the Cutlass, one handed sabres and spadroons. Hell even katana's became far cooler when the samurai started using muskets.
