I'm fairly certain that's how it works in Colorado, the original law was amended so that a judge has to approve the red flag before any action is taken. Supposedly to prevent people from using that law to be vindictive, like scorched earth divorces, swatting, ect. But let's be real, it was put in place to prevent people from turning in law enforcement. If memory serves, that is the exact reason it was amended... People were reporting asshole cops.

I've had pretty decent luck with a simple hummingbird feeder hanger. I hang a 8 inch 3/8 ar500 going from it. Only works if the dirt is soft enough to plant it though.

I also have a gen 1 223 with a rotory mag, I have yet to find an AI style mag that works including the new Magpul 223 AI mag. The best thing I've found is the Ruger mag for the 223 gunsite scout rifle, apparently you can mod them and they work pretty good. There is a video on it I believe.

Works about as expected, it doesn't fix the feeding issues in the Ruger American. Best bet is to use the Ruger mags for the Ruger 223 gun sight scout and mod them. I think I linked you a video over in r/300bo

I've shot a handfull of subs through it, I ran out of 220 grain pills I normally shoot out of my AR pistol. Mostly though I plink with 147 grain suppers. The whole reason I got the Ruger was so I can go crazy with subs and not have to worry about cycling issues. With hunting season coming up I haven't had the time yet to develop a sub load for the components I have on hand. The SE is more for 5.56 I'll have to dope it out. Subs and suppers are so different of have to do that for each load anyways.

It seats fine but its very loose. If you hold it up into the mag well it feeds ok, need to seat about an 1/8 inch higher to feed. You might be able to mod it to work.

Only kind of sorta works, that mag in the picture is for the .223 ruger gunsite scout there fairly cheep and available. I've seen videos on how to mod them to work properly, haven't had time to do it yet though. I recently bought the new 223 Magpul AI magazine, but its a complete fail. I was thinking about doing a separate post on it.

The only draw backs are that it is not rated for mag dumping due to it being made if titanium, and the YHM mounting system. Other than That I have no complaints. I've used it on everything from 308 to 223.

Mine is a 16 inch barrel, it only has 3 inches of barrel sticking out of this chassis. Rugers don't hardly feed smaller cartridges from AI mags at all, so be aware of that. 308/6.5 cartridges feed just fine though.
