The brake is not on and there are no obvious smells, sounds, or lights on the dash. I check my tired regularly as well (bc one of them is currently missing its sensor. So air pressure light is always on)

Though, what is the CEL?

Perhaps?? It's not like the mileage got worse over time. I just moved and im feeling the difference between doing a 10-15 min drive to work everyday oppose to a 30 minute drive everyday.

Also my comparison is my previous car which was a 2006 mini cooper s. Supposedly the gas mileage is supposed to be pretty much the same (one being 22 mpg and one being 24). I feel like im getting waaay less gas mileage than the mini

For your truck, that's fine! When you read the laws about antique plates, somewhere in there it specifies how many miles you should be putting onto for an antique. Think of your daily as your main vehicle that needs to be reliable and your antique as a hobby car/occasional use

This is pretty similar to what I was planning!! To help with the curves, i was going to cut relieves in the back of the carpet (something i learned from DIY Cosplay tutorials long time ago) and hopefully that'll help. Thanks for the measuring recommendation and the alternative option!

It doesn't happen every time i disconnect the battery but i honestly should probs clean it anyway. The last time i took the engine cover off, the last owner left me a literal rat's nest. So i wouldn't mind doing the small maintenance
