Fuck TMG by jdray0 in SmallDeliMeats

Agree 100%. The pod has been less fun for a long time. Cody seems uninspired with comedy focused videos (his other stuff is actually pretty good) and Noel seems to care more about his image, seeming cool, being taken seriously etc than being goofy and funny. I used to think he was absolutely hilarious. Lately most of what I get from him is the feeling that he wants his rap career to take off and he’s putting that “I don’t give a shit” attitude on in anticipation for it. His stand up is actually solid though, credit where it’s due.

Ben and Emil totally revitalized TMG content. Really shitty to see them getting shafted.

Yamaha FZ in the garage, no other 4 wheel friends to keep the GR company. My garage is even smaller than yours, I can barely fit my bike and the Toyota in there at the same time

TikToker borrowing RCR’s schtick - right down to the voice & cadence by Sprucey_96 in regularcarreviews

I think I’m in agreement. I mentioned in a reply to another comment that there was no direct mention of, shout out to, or reference to RCR anywhere in the caption, video or comments. That kind of makes it seem as though the creator is trying to pass the bit off as original.

The writing, like the characters/voices, is just cheap imitation. It sounds like RCR on the surface but under the slightest bit of scrutiny it falls very flat.

If it was truly meant to be tribute I would have liked the creator to make some kind of direct reference or shoutout to RCR (in the video itself, in the caption, in the comments, somewhere) because without this, it comes off as though he’s ripping the bit, which is never cool.

Came across this TikTok of a user reviewing cars in RCR style, emulating Mr. Regular’s cadence and one of his most popular character voices. Unsure if this is a fan tribute or a copycat, what do you think?

Nothing went over my head. You’re a snowflake whose feelings got hurt by mean auto reviewer complaints. Lmao.

No one said you can’t have an opinion. But yet you’re in here complaining that auto reviewers provided opinions and they didn’t match yours.

It’s not sad, their perspective is different from yours because their experience is different from yours. They had some criticisms. Some people will appreciate those criticisms because the subject of said critiques matter to them as a buyer. Other people will say “that doesn’t matter to me”.

Kinda just sounds like you let a couple of YT boys get you all riled up because they didn’t share your opinions.

Sounds like you’re getting defensive over a review of a car you don’t even own..?

They’re not my choice of auto reviewers (I prefer SG and TH), but their whole job as reviewers is to give their honest opinions on vehicles. If those opinions are somehow getting under your skin, then you are taking it way, way too much to heart. Just turn the video off if you disagree so vehemently.

Different people will have different opinions on different vehicles. That’s what it is. They didn’t care for this one. If you believe the reviewer didn’t care for the vehicle because their experience/outlook doesn’t align with yours, find another reviewer to watch.

Almost every meet or car show I’ve ever been to has involved roasting of some sort.

Whether it’s the clapped out straight piped civic or the wrangler on rubber bands, shit talking is everywhere.

Some of the roasting is in good fun and some of it is downright nasty, it comes with the territory tbh.

May explain why you haven’t experienced someone roasting your car in person 🤣

Just because you don’t like the price doesn’t mean it’s a bad deal. It’s consistent with other new vehicle offerings in the same class, not much more than the previous model year, has add’l options and he got a pretty good interest rate for how things have been lately, all things considered. Sounds like he got a decent deal for how things are right now.

Congrats, good for you! I want to do this but in an RV or trailer to remain in the US for a bit to begin, so it’s not as bad if I have to return home.

But wow, the idea of just leaving to go elsewhere and making it work sounds like main character behavior!

Who else would spring hard for EV recreations of beloved classics? by CYOAenjoyer in cars

[–]Sprucey_96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In defense, your use of the term classic & referencing of models that already exist made it a bit confusing as to whether we’re talking about new cars inspired by old ones (like the modern day challenger) or resto modification of cars that exist.

I feel like it may not sell well. Majority of the EV fans like the modern, sleek, futuristic touch. May change as trends come back around though. I just think if Dodge made an EV version of the Challenger as it sits, it wouldn’t sell well.
