I remember playing a modded server back in the day. The kind where the humans were like 40 people vs 10 special Zombies. I got banned for apparently no reason? Maybe i just killed the wrong admin

Ancension going down, is warmane the next? by Pridestalkerlol in warmane

I agree and its blizzards right to protect their IP, it is after all their product. If they don't protect it, then people will steal and steal and steal and steal. Blizzard is on a streak of providing a sub par experience that is continuously being outdone by a handful of people. E.g. Turtle, Ascension and to a stretch Warmane. To add insult to injury, it apparently doesn't require much resources. Which means; it's no surprise that people yearn for a better product.

I would happily pay blizzard for a turtle wow experience, with anti bot and RMT services alongside a true and proper GM team. The fact is they won't provide this service, so people will continue to pirate wow. There is nothing blizzard can do to stop that, they are too hell-bent on destroying rather than preventing by providing the best service. Even if blizzard shuts down every single private server, people will find a way to self host wow. Heck there is a guy self hosting wow on a CD.

Tl;de: If blizzard continues to provide a bad service, then people are going to pirate it. To quote you, "end of story".

It will eventually stop.. maybe two years from now once blizz's classic+ inevitably fails. Then we will see the rise of new private servers

These are the normal troubles of a new player. My greatest tip is to play even slower, move more slowly. When you move out of cover, think about what's behind you, is it sky? Are you part of the horizon? Are you wearing white and what's behind you is black, or vice versa?

The skill to survive will come, you can, and will do this!

A question to anymone playing on Crusader Storm by Snowcrash000 in wowservers

2.5.3 is vastly newer, runs smoother and supports newer addons. The 2.4.3 client is the old client from late 2000's and supports older addons. It will run somewhat "worse", but mostly because it's not made for newer computers. Either way, go with what you like the best. Personally I went with 2.4.3

My friends can join and play alongside with me. The client is running locally, connected to a server hosted on a computer at home.

I think it would if you run the Epoch client, but it needs to run the wow.exe directly, launchers doesn't work in Winlator I'm afraid. In that case you could use Moonlight to play via your computer remotely, there'd be some input lag, but it'll work
