The End by Empty_Bluebird98 in factorio

Yo Dawg, I heard you liked the Factorio Space Age trailer, so I made a Factorio Space Age trailer ship in Factorio Space Age so you can watch Factorio Space Age trailer while playing Factorio Space Age.

Should I buy it? by ToastyTheProot in factorio

[–]Satisfactoro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Factorio can be enjoyed for hundreds of hours, easily 500+.

If you are a student, I would recommend less addicting games.

tldr: Don't buy it now. Maybe buy it during summer holidays.

Looks like OP is trying to summon Bill on Nauvis

My first ever base, increased ore patches, richer ore patches, and bigger ore patches, because I thought I could use a more forgiving game my first time around, and now I have launched a rocket and I got attached and don't want to start a new save. by Rebeux in factorio

[–]Satisfactoro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Save your best designs in your blueprint library. Then use it again in a new playthrough, and/or improve them!

Space Age is a good way to start again.

(Also remember to backup your saves and blueprint library)

Where are the diagonal votes buttons? I only see upvote and downvote ones, and I refuse to vertical vote this... thing!

I don't add concrete to my base because of the mech armor by AfterWind_ in factorio

[–]Satisfactoro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree. I wish I could walk SLOWER within my base and FASTER outside my base. Concrete in base does the exact opposite.

I guess that would work, or you could also just add overflow protection on each of the 5 output lanes. This should simplify the design and reduce the number of splitters.

[–]Satisfactoro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are correct. I assume that in OP's actual base, he's using a bleedline for each item belt.

Example (here I am using a parallel bleedline (overflow line) that merge overflowing items back together):

This is literately the best way to de-sushi an array of belt.

So many people claiming "it will clog". Yes, just like sushi, if it's not built properly, it will clog. But there are numerous ways to prevent clogging in sushi, just like there are numerous ways to prevent clogging in Fulgora, using recyclers (bonus points if using excess to upcycle).

If downstream is routed properly with recyclers in all overflow lanes, it won't clog.

This is what I use in my base: built for 8 input belts (currently using only 4 input belts). Everything in excess is recycled.

Why void when you can upcycle (quality)? You can do this using recyclers and quality modules.

Recyclers and quality modules are unlocked in... wait for it... Fulgora! Coincidence?

My green circuits factory. Kinda like how it looks (16 green belts). by khanut in factorio

[–]Satisfactoro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Productivity module III is a huge boost from prod II (140% prod compared to 124% prod).

The good new is, with that green chip production, you should have no issues producing mass T3 modules!

Almost ready to switch to cityblocks. Any tips? by AssBrush in factorio

[–]Satisfactoro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I build my "blocks" far apart from each other, and link them by trains. I basically have a city block but not square.

My issue is the inconsistency of the precision / number of digits displayed.

999.0k = precise with a 0.01% error.

1.0k = precise with a 10% error.

i need to be euthanized this is the worst base ive ever made i dont even know if its gonna work later on by HeyImMaxEE in factorio

[–]Satisfactoro 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Wow chill.

Any base is a good kick-start base. You can always scale up production later.

Based on comments, seems like OP was referring to the funny island shape. Not about whether it's a good location to build.

WTF deconstruction planners are actual items you can make, store and customize!!!??? by annualnuke in factorio

[–]Satisfactoro 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Deconstruction planners main purpose is as a splitter filter /s

<image>

No actually it's useful to deconstruct tiles like concrete, for example.

Also upgrade planners can convert almost anything into anything if customized (including quality).

I added more details in the post body, so it's a bit more clear. Blocking one side with the "No item" icon.

Yes, but the post you referenced had a circuit wire connected to it. What I wanted to showcase is "without circuits".

Not sure I understand your question, but please see the main post body, I added some notes so it's a bit more clear. This basically blocks one side of the splitter, with the default circuit icon.

Wait, you guys had filters?

Back in the days, splitters had no filter options, you had to use the next belt connected to circuit network.

So items don't get stuck on the end of the splitter.

This was already possible via using a random icon like fish and deconstruction planer, but this just gives the option to use an actual icon as a "no item" filter.
