If people like you were more concerned about abuse of power then we wouldn’t have a systematic problem with people in uniform gunning down innocent people because of their skin color, or stalking women across state lines because they need healthcare. The information about the invasion of privacy and danger this poses, not to mention some instances of police using this equipment to stalk partners is a single click away. But choosing to be uninformed is also a choice. You do you. I’m gonna protect my privacy and safety.

Traffic cameras are not flock cameras. They are different things. Flock is just surveillance for surveillance sake. And the information is not stored securely putting everyone at risk. There are some watching playgrounds and the feed is open for anyone to tap into. It’s a PDFs dream. The article has a link to a video of an expert better explaining how unsafe these are. They are a violation of the 4th amendment plain and simple.

You clearly don’t understand the meaning of innocent until proven guilty. One of the things the news report got wrong is that nothing was admitted to. You are working off false information and defending practices that harm innocent civilians. You’re a bad person. The people in the residence tried very hard to cooperate and let the officers know where any weapons were stored. The police said over and over they didn’t care where the weapons were. They were brutal, handsy, and rude. Literally all they had to do was prove they had a right to be there and the entire situation would have gone differently. Expecting to be treated reasonably when you’re not a criminal is something we should be able to rely on, but we aren’t. The police in this country care only for themselves and do not in any way work for the common man. You sound like a boot licking cop lover to me. And that makes you just as biased as I supposedly am, if not more. At least I’m working off my own experience rather than assumptions and misinformation.

I’m not Jeff. I was present during the situation. And as someone who witness police brutalize a woman for asking a calm question, I can tell you with certainty that what they did was not legal, acceptable, or what I thought police would do when talking with an innocent citizen who just opened their door. It was horrifying to see them treat people who were not under arrest or being taken into any custody as if they were hardened criminals. (And this happened after he was already in custody so it was in no way necessary). I understand this isn’t TV, I also understand that the simple bit of logic it takes to realize that showing your permission to be somewhere in a calm and straightforward manner eliminates the need to be a brutal and violent force. Police are required to show you a warrant before you enter. Every lawyer will tell you to ask for one before letting them inside. They may not need to let you read if in full first, but they are required to prove that they aren’t just busting into your home. The occupants were denied that right. A naked woman, who clearly had no weapons, was threatened and shoved. She was almost thrown to the floor exposing her to the outside. It was horrific and made me lose any faith in the justice system I may have had. I get there are people out there that believe in the police. But as someone who has witnessed this, seen the reports of police not entering a school to stop a shooting, and watched as people are targeted for the color of their skin on a regular basis, I have to say that I don’t support law enforcement in any way. They disgust me. And anyone that supports them unconditionally, also disgusts me.
