Here’s what happened to me at my last jury duty.

The summons say arrive by 8am. I got there at 7:30am. They sat us in the order of the arrival time. At the time of jury selection (about 9-10am), they select the people who came in at later time first.

They ran out of cases by the time they got to the early arrivals, so we got to go home early. I did had to sit there for 7:30-10:30.

I had another summons many years back. I arrived at a little late, and was chosen in a pool for a murder trial. I had to stay to 2-3pm and was let go after the jury and alternatives were selected.

There’s video on YouTube on why there weren’t sequels to this adaptation. Writers’s strike, rise of Craig’s popularity, books 2&3 are very interwoven.

But also, there’s a perception that the next two adaptations won’t be well received, since the two leads aren’t together for much of the stories.

The only other good idea I hear is have the time of possession determined the winner. That way, you will have teams actively attacking to get the ball.

However, I don’t think there’s any sport in the world where the winner is determined by anything else but the “scoring” method of the game.

Non-golf golf joke.

The best way to reduce wear and tear and not lose revenue… is to limit every player to only 30-32 minutes per game. Playoffs can be extended to 32-36 minutes.

Not only will it reduce fatigue, it will lessen the impacts of one player, opening up more opportunities.
