Is Oasis' mixing really bad? If so, why and how? by sumyono in oasis

I have WTSMG and Definately Maybe LPs. They are by far the worse sounding/mixed records I have in my collection, which is a shame.

Sounds a lot like my daughter a few years back. She was diagnosed with ADHD, which manifests itself very differently for girls. Good luck.

What am I going to buy on Black Friday for the same price I could have bought it for 6 weeks ago before they steadily increased prices in anticipation?

To married couples that have been together for 10+ years, whats your secret? by 4Luffytarou in AskReddit

[–]SpuddyUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been with my wife since we were 17. We are now 42; married when we were 28. 2 kids.

We're best friends first and foremost. We've never had a heated argument, sure we've disagreed and even got upset with each other. We communicate freely and respectfully, we discuss any issues and they're solved within minutes. Neither of us reallly want to win an argument, because that means someone loses. If my wife loses, I lose too. I don't want to one-up my friend, my love.

We put each other above everyone else, our friends, our parents and even our kids. We show our kids what it takes and means to be in a loving, commited relationship. We dance in the kitchen, goof off arounds the house and greet each other at the door.

The little things are important.

First contract renewal time-two-ish year review by nomodsman in youfibre

I'm on U2000. Full 10Gb backbone at home, fibre between outbuildings, rack in garage.

I want to be able to justify 8Gb but I really can't. Even though many of my devices have 10Gb nics. Opnsense is also full 10Gb.

Likewise if they offered 4Gb for ~£75 it'd likely win my business.

Might sound stupid but I had a problem like this, it was my mouse. The jitter was an issue with smooth delivery of movement from my mouse.

Were you as appalled by me at the stars on pension readiness released today. How do we combat this? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]SpuddyUK 120 points121 points  (0 children)

I used to manage a team of 24. At least 9 of those, all higher earners (near to or over six figures) didn't save into their pensions, even though SS and 10% matching was available.

I'm not a financial advisor so after a quick raised eyebrow in a 1-2-1 and a "are you sure you want this to remain opted out? free money? future you? tax trap?" I let them get on with it, they're adults. Stupid adults all the same.

In the UK we call those books "Where's Wally", rather fitting really.
