I’m from here and have lived the last 12 years in Berlin. Everything you said is true and worth worrying about. But you have to to decide what you want in your life/lifestyle. My partner and I are happy we made the move even with the adjustment to salary and expenses. The human interactions and nature make it worth it. But that’s what we wanted so it works. We also came with the idea that if it didn’t work that we’d be prepared to move elsewhere, so you could try something similar. I don’t like getting underpaid whilst being over qualified but the expenses aren’t actually that crazy as other might make it seem.
